Fact # 3

Pregnancy:
• I craved salads with Hidden Valley Ranch dressing in the beginning. Toward the end of pregnancy craved McDonalds chicken nuggets. The day that I had him all I wanted was a plain double cheeseburger from McDonalds.

Age 2-3:
During this time he got really into toys story. Needless to say for Christmas he got Woody, Jessie, and Buzz. When he was 2 years and 7 months is when Ken came into the picture. The day he met the kids was a day that Ken and brayden grew a special bond. Because he was a positive male role model. His third birthday was a when he started getting into power rangers. :)

Facts # 2

I guess in case you are just jumping on board, I should update you so ya aren't lost. My son turns six in just 9 days therefor I am hoping to take a trip down memory lane and remember facts about my pregnancy. Along with Brayden's first 5 years of life.

I have actually gotten sick again. This time hoping it's not strep throat because my throat had hurt so bad today it felt as if a knife was cutting through it.

Now on down memory lane.

Pregnancy Fact # 2:
Brayden was a planned c-section. My first pregnancy resulted in an emergency c-section. Therefor my OB felt it was best that Brayden be a planned birth. My due was Feb 28th, 2009. He was born Feb 20th, 2009.

1st Year-2years of life:
He was 14 months old when started walking.
• He didn't like the binki but he finally was fully broke from the bottle at 15 months.
• Very rambunctious boy.
• my dad nicknamed him "titty baby"! He was and still is a momma's boy

Stay tuned this week and next to find out more things about my baby boy turning 6.

Sleeping With Your Partner

First off I am on a role tonight. I have had the privledge of having some awesome topics tonight.

Second off reroute your mind out of the gutter. I know what the title sounds like but it isn't what you dirty little minds think.

Now on to the topic of Sleeping With Your Partner
The list of frustrations when sleeping with my partner.

(Come on you fell back into the gutter.)

Frustration # 1.
• There is an absolute reason why we have a queen size bed. Not only because  he had it before we moved in together. But it's a decent size bed. We have our own sides. My side and his side. However after living together since 6 months in to our relationship. You'd think by now he would stay on his side. Don't get me wrong we all love to sprawl out. But every night, geez I might as well go for the couch.

Frustration # 2.
•I love my man with a burning deep down in my soul fiery passion. But if I have to remove his knee out of my ass one more time. He may need knee replacement.

Frustration # 3
• Although to be wintery months we've had awkwardly awesome weather. Except again it's winter so we have some really cold nights.  Yes we share a cover. Yes it's clear to me that it's freezing cold most nights during the winter months.  Just because your like a lot of men I know and strip down to boxer briefs. Doesn't mean on them extremely blistering cold nights where not even the heater is keeping up does it give you the right to burrito roll your ass up with let me say this right OUR cover. I have a tshirt and pants on. Im still cold being clothed, I can only imagine how you must feel. But give me my cover back and get some clothes on boy before ya get pneumonia.

Well that's all of the frustrations of Sleeping With Your Partner.

Y'all come back ya hear. Im sure that three frustrations of Sleeping With Your Partner will get bigger over the months and years.

Goodnight y'all.

My Countdown Begin Facts

Remember my previous blog that for ten days I will let ya know interesting facts about my pregnancy with the soon to be six year old momma's boy.

Pregnancy Facts:
1. My pregnancy with Brayden was nonetheless a breeze. I never had morning sickness but maybe a few times and that was more so toward the end of my pregnancy.  Nothing like My pregnancy with Ryleigh, even tho for the most part with her I had an easy pregnancy until my last three weeks.

Brayden ( 1 week- 1 year):
A little background with Ryleigh's first year to help explain and compare Brayden's.  I had post Partum after Ryleigh that eventually turned into post partum Blues. I was miserable. But I also had a lot of help and support from my parents. Being sick and a new mom, during the day my mother worked and I took care of Ryleigh and then my mom got up with Ryleigh at night. All I wanted to do was sleep.
Now on to Brayden, when I had Brayden. Bless my Mommas  heart she said to me, "Diedra, I am to old for this and you are on your own with this one!!"
Granted for the most part at night I was by myself but I did still have help. Remember with boys they have penis' and when changing you must push them down. I learned that just slapping a diaper on a boy that his private goes every which way leaving more room for him to pee out the side of the diaper.  Brayden, though he paid me back for not getting up with Ryleigh in the middle of the night. This child was up every hour on the hour wanting to eat. It got so bad that when my mom got home from work in the afternoon, she tell me to lay down for an hour or so depending on when she got home. Then around six or so I would get up and feed both kids. Get both kids bathed and ready for bed. The blessing there though was after Ryleigh got bathed. She would come lay down with me so I could get her to sleep. But my mom would get Brayden asleep and watch him until she went to bed. Usually I got to sleep from 8 pm to 10 or 11 pm. Some nights longer because she would lay Brayden in his bassinet and he'd sleep until he got up. Finally after he was 4 weeks old the doctor suggested rice cereal because he was giving everyone a run for their money. ( He still does keep coming back to find out more!) pretty much after we got him good on feelings and sleeping, here came teeth. Good God Almighty he was a horrible teether. He teethed from 4 months until he cut his first tooth at 7 months. Finally after that first tooth and some insight from the doctor the rest of his teeth were a breeze. They came in left and right.

Note for new mothers:  Never forget to move their private downward. That is something I always remind new mothers of boys. But with any sex child, meaning boy or girl, they all teeth. Brayden had a difficult time because I was always taught to use Orgel [spelling wrong I know] but finally after almost 3 months of hardcore teething. I mean long day and nights of pure baby hell because he was in pain. The doctor told me to stop using the topical (on the gum) orgel because it hardens the guns causing it to actually be more painful. Your like me wandering how? Because the tooth is trying to cut and although the orgel numbs the pain for a little while. It hardens the gum making it harder to come thru. Also invest in a vibrating teether. Within 2 days no orgel and the vibrating teether his tooth came thru.

Asking yourself, what did she use for numbing?
1. Teething tablets. Yes, I know they now are suppose to be linked to kids having seizures and what not. But seriously if it was that bad do you think they'd still be on the shelves. We mainly used them at night after his night time bottle to help him fall asleep.
2. On very rough nights where nothing was helping. Go way back in the day where orgel and teething tablets were unheard of. Back in the day mothers and fathers put whiskey on their finger tip and rub the gums. I promise you won't get your child drunk.

3. Of course Tylenol or Ibuprofen.

Ending the first year of life:

Overall Brayden first year wasn't to bad. He crawled at eight months, sat up at six months by himself, he wasn't a binky baby. He liked his bottle tho. Come back later to see how long it took to break him from the bottle.

Probably wandering......

Most kids walk by age one. How old was Brayden when he walked?

Come back tomorrow to find out. :)

Goodnight my loves.

Countdown begins....

In exactly ten days my little boy shown in the collage above whom weighed 6lbs 11oz at birth  and barely a week old in the above pictures, will be turning six years old.  Something fun today each day I will write a short to long blog on facts about my pregnancy and him Brayden transitioning from a baby to a little boy.

Stay alert on upcoming blog post to see what kind of little boy I am raising.

Life Happens

Excuse the fact that I haven't posted anything lately. A lot has been going on, which all in all life happens.  Don't get me wrong I LOVE DOING HAIR! It's a passion and a dream of mine to be a hair dresser.  With that being said as of right now, I will be with drawing myself out of cosmetology school.  I have been extremely overwhelmed lately with everything that goes on in my life. That honestly not sure my body can take much more. My heart can't either. The stress of every day life on top of my kids life, on top of going to school full time Got to me.  I finally realized that in my life I need to learn Time Management.  Along with budgeting.  I can't say that I won't ever go back to school. Because it's my plans to go back to school. However, just not right now.  To take steps in regaining life before kids meaning time management. I have ordered me an Erin Condren life planner, along with a budgeting book.  I hope in doing this that it will get me on the right track to maintain some organization in my life.  I even paid the extra $10 dollars to get the planner in 3 to 5 days.

I hope when I decide to go back that I will be more prepared with my future. Making sure that I have a stable babysitter. Hoping this also helps me realize that I can't always say yes and I have to say no. reminding myself that I am ONE person. That I can't keep piling stuff on my plate.

With that being said, lord willing my withdrawing will come at an ease and not a feeling of scaredy cat.

It's gone...

Thank The Lord Above that for the most part the flu is gone.  Pain like I've never felt before. The pain in my eye socket was intense.  Yes you read that right. My flu symptoms started out with pain in my eye socket. I was down for 3 days. Didn't wanna move my body ached so badly. Then on top of it Ryleigh was sick last Thursday with the Stomach bug on top of me having the flu. Then Ken has been sick all weekend. On a brighter note tho, Ryleigh starts basketball tomorrow. Practices at least. I keep asking myself what on earth am I doing. She does dance, Girl Scouts, and basketball. Luckily basketball doesn't last that long.

My last week/weekend has been packed full of a lot of germs.  Needless to say it will take me a month to recover.

To bed I go now to get rest before school tomorrow.
