H1N1

Blogging was meant to be a process for me to share my chaotic single motherhood life with everyone.  I lack at it due to everyday life. I'm human, I get busy, & as well as tired.

However I wanted to share my feelings on last weeks scariest moment.   My son had been sick. Started running fever Thursday  morning. I knew he had a cough but wasn't expecting to hear the news we did. Most of you know my son recently turned 5.  Therefore he's still little and his immune system is still developing.  My son not only was running a 103.5 tempature, but was diagnosed with a double ear infection, strep throat, and H1N1 (swine flu). This flu in itself has killed grown adults.  But the scariest part was when our doctor said don't take your eyes off him. His body has been attacked with 3 different things and the medicine itself may not help. That night I prayed, I poured my heart out to God where he was the only one to hear me. I asked God. Please give this to me take it away from my son. I can fight this faster he can't. That night my son slept with me. I want to praise God because he woke up with no fever, no cough, and was eating. He was Brayden again. He was my non-fearing, ninja butt kicker Brayden. He was himself again. I felt great. But learned no prayer goes unanswered. That afternoon I started feeling yucky.  But I smiled. My son no longer felt bad.  I have always believed in God and Power of Prayer. But this event in my sons life reassured me God is always on my side.

Its been a week and a day since he's been sick. He is back to my Brayden. Laughing, playing ninja, kissing momma when I ask even when I don't.

As of today, I didn't get the flu like he did. I just got stopped up and sneezing. Ryleigh had a few coughs here and there. Ken has gotten a stopped up nose and achy feeling. But the flu as of now has exited our house. Thank God.

Although the flu has gone we did get hit by a snow storm the first day of march. Like we needed it. Boy has it been a messy load of crud. Its turning into slush. And having a front wheel drive car that sits low to the grown sucks too.
