My Decision to Stay...

In cosmetology school that is. Don't worry Ken and I are still happily in love. Go check out how he done Valentine's this year.
Back to Cosmetology:
I had it made in my mind I was quitting, even wrote the termination letter.  Last Friday, Ryleigh woke up sick. I was exhausted from the crazy week of BasketBall Practice on Tuesday, Dance for two hours on Wednesday, Girl Scouts on Thursday and BasketBall practice again. I was extremely overwhelmed with that and some health issues going on. I seriously this past weekend had a nervous breakdown. However,   I went into the school today to get my stuff. Needless to say the man that owns the plans said that once I terminated that I couldn't take my kit that I believe has been paid for, but since it's done in increments of payments through fafsa. I was told that I may end up owing the school money.  I decided to just stay. I will return Tuesday but thought to see if they would just let me take my leave so it doesn't mess with my attendance. Then again decided not to hopefully due to the fact later on I may need a leave. I think in the long wrong that this was a way of God saying Diedra stick it out. Don't give up. Let go and let me take control. That something I need to learn to do more often.

Anyways I know and feel deep down in my heart this is a career I have always wanted to do therefor Im gonna tough it up and finish. Let's hope there is extra hours available to bring these days and hours back up. Mainly because I was determined I was terminating.

All I can say is Lord be by my side and guide me through this schooling. So I can focus on it and my kids are easy to get ready in the mornings.

As the year progresses I will keep you updated.

Y'all come back ya hear!

Any topics you'd like to ready about?

Nervous Doesn't Even Cut it

Although I wish our school would have at least given us until the 6th. We go back tomorrow. Which sucks because my kids don't go back until the 5th. But I'm extremely nervous because we have to dance for our bags and then on top of it all I am now on the floor... Squeek... How nerve racking. It's nerve racking to me because we haven't learned everything yet.  Nervous at whom my first client will be. Im extremely nervous as why on earth do we have to dance to get our bags.

As tomorrow is approaching quickly, to bed I am going.

Night World!!!

I Chose Cosmetology School

I know in a few recent post that I have mentioned going to cosmetology school but in one post I said please come back to find out. Well after writing that I relaized that I had already mentioned what type of school. Therefore let me enlightened you on my first two weeks of school. Which by the way has went by really fast.  I got to school five days a week, Tuesday-Saturday.  You read that right, I go to school on Saturdays.  Which really is all to bad considering we dont have to be at school until 9 am.

Before going on about the past two weeks, I will explain how this school works.  On November 11th, was my first day, along with the starting of FS (Fundamental Skills of Cosmetology) class.  In FS you are learning the basics of cosmetology for the next six weeks.  After graduating so to speak from FS you then move on to Advance Class. This is where it gets interesting because instead of learn techniques and stuff on fake "doll" heads. (Sorry not sure how to spell maikins lol) We still do that in advance class on top of going out on the floor working with people.

Since you have the basics of how this works let me tell you about my interesring two weeks.

November 11th, 2014 was when we started. That day being orientation we done a bit of book work then started on practical (on hands work).  Tuesday basically repeat and homework. That Saturday we had a test. Basically that is how it has gone the past two weeks. Theory (bookwork), practical (on hands work), and homework and test. This is how it will gonin Fundamental Skills.  As for how it will go in adavance class. That will be a later post.

Am I liking it so far?
I have only been in class two weeks, so far yes I am loving it and hope to continue to love it once I am out on the floor considering it is something I have always wanted to do. Therefore, I Love it.

Besides the Marcel Thermal curling Iron.  We were warned we'd burn ourselves and in two weeks, I have yet to burn myself. But have come pretty close to it landing on my boob.
