Say What?!!! Half a Decade?

That is absolutely right that I have spent half a decade with Ken.

Now let me start off by stating we are by far a perfect couple but in my eyes, we are perfect for one another. We do unto each other as we see what's best for our relationship!

So what did we do for our 5 year anniversary you may be wandering?

Well, I guess we are getting on up in the years and we put our kids needs first.  At the kids school on November 5th, *Which by the way November 5th is our anniversary* they hosted a fall festival.

During the fall festival they were hosting hayrides (in this case, it was a man driving a truck, pulling an old cut down tractor trailer, with hay bails as seats. ) either or they had a blast as you can see from the following pictures of the kids on the hayride.

For the life of me, I could never get a picture of Ryleigh smiling or even looking my way. As you can see though Iain was having a blast.

Even though it was our anniversary, we are parents and our kids had events and we had things planned that just so happen landed on our anniversary.  Such as my friend Liz's little boy whom turned 12 last week. Birthday was also the afternoon of our Anniversary.  It was at a gaming place and the funny part is I think my big kid (Ken) and my Brother Mark had more fun than our two kids. Joking, we all had a blast and are thankful for the invite.

See the picture below was kudos to liz for capturing a very awesomely great picture of Ken and I. It was a very unexpected picture. We had just walked in and I was getting her son's card out of my purse to hand to her and she stood back and said smile guys. Needless to say it is one of my favorite pictures of Ken and I.

After the party, Our friends Micki and Mark (the one I call my brother and my neighbor) was in Mickis car and they took our kids home and Ken and I went and seen a movie.

We seen Madea: Boo (Hallerween) movie. At first Ken was like um no, don't want to see another Madea Movie.  Well, since he loves me and was trying to show me a good time. We went and seen the Madea Movie. One: It was hilarious but aren't all of madeas movies and 2: Ken Loved it.

After that we went out and about looking around at local shops and stores for Christmas gifts. As well as before heading home we just road around in the country (gravel dirt roads). Get your mind out of the gutter guys. We seriously just had a great time talking without interuptions. But our babysitter had to be at work the next day. she told us not to worry about coming home until midnight. Mark told us to enjoy our time because we VERY RARELY ever do anything without our kids. But about 9:30 we were tired or wasting gas and we missed our babies.

That's what ya do when you are a parent and you spend at least half a decade with someone. Your kids come first, then when you finally do get the alone time guess what you go home early because you miss your kids. :)

Love you guys always,

Valentine's Day!!!

What better time than after one in the morning on Valentine's Day make a post about my Valentine.

•The handsome fella with me in this picture will be the one and only Ken, my Valentine. We've only been together for 3 years and 3 months but we have celebrated 4 Valentine's Day together.

In those 4 Valentine's to be quite honest we've never been the mushy gushy send me roses and candy type people. Mainly because our whole relationship I've been a stay at home mom and money has been tight.  The first year he worked and I forgave him, the second year he bought me a rose and gave me one of the kids valentine cards. (Yes he's one of those guys hates spending money on any type of cards.) Last year he took me out to eat because we got a sitter. This year we planned on doing something but out of no where, kind of last minute thing his sister Crystal, niece Aliya, mom Carol, and dad George decided again last minute, Out of a whim, let me do this before I change my mind type thing, decided to come and visit. Which is absolutely great because usually we go up there and it's usually except this year once a year.

But back to Valentine's, we got our income tax return a few weeks ago. We had done stated at Christmas we'd wait until then to get our Christmas and we did. My Christmas was my Miss Me Jeans. However, for Valentine's he spoiled me. No roses which is fine. I won't be at school so why send them.

But here is my list to include my Valentine's presents:
•CHI flat iron
• Camo Purse
•Nike Shoes ( only because bub needed new shoes doe school and they had a bit one get one half off clearance. Got two pairs of Nikes for $64 which is good becaue my original price was $98 and Braydens was $59.)
•my nails done
• New Shirt

Out of all of it I loved them all but my next gift I love the most.

At WalMart tonight, Ken and I bought each other a card. Remember above he hates buying cards. But he did it because he knew it would make me happy.  We turn them around so we couldn't see each others. When we got home I filled mine out shortly after filling it out I gave it to Ken. I thought, OK maybe he is going to wait until tomorrow. Was I wrong? Yep I was wrong, because when I was getting the kids to bed he filled his card to me out and had it on my pillow. This is the reason why I love this man. The simplicity of the words means a lot because that's how he feels.

•my pretty nails set and my card.

• he even wrote more.

I love you Kenneth Robert.

Happy Valentine's Everyone.

Y'all come back ya hear???!!!

Now off to bed, 8 comes early when ya have to get up and go get Girl Scout cookies.

Overwhelming Wonderful Opprotunities

The past few weeks have been absolutely nutty. Where do I start? Well let's see...starting with my new job! As well as promoting and earning awesome money from home especially after  LilyBean&Baxter released their new fall catalog!

New Job

I started working for an awesome wonderful  company called Caring Hands. Its an in home service. (Those that may not know what this type of work is. Its where you go into someone's home and you do household chores or even personal care! Nothing Hard) Although right now I work steady every other weekend and as a fill in, it has landed me another job!  One of the in home services house I went offered me to come to their place to work a few more hours a week. Which is awesome. The more hours more money!

My friend Jamie helped me get on with this company and God seen my struggle and blessed me!

However the weirdest of it all I haven't worked steady outside the home in 8 years.  That's where the overwhelming part comes in. I am having to learn how to juggle being a full time mom while working and managing my own home!  Such as this last week let me break my week down for you...

SATURDAY 21- My daughter was selected to ride in a float in our town parade. It started at 10 am I had to be at work at 11 am. Luckily my daughters float wasn't to far into starting the parade! As son as I seen her helped my son get some candy I walked down to my car and headed to work. Worked 5 hours came home to an awesomely clean house. Thank you baby! Not sure much what I did after I got home but relaxed.

SUNDAY 22- went to work for 3 hours after going and getting my medicine and dropping my daughter off with my mom for church that day! As well as visiting with my daddy! Came home after work.done some laundry gave my son a bath while waiting for sissy to be home from church. Thank goodness Nana gave Ry a bath while She was there all day.
MONDAY 23- had training for work for two hours. Then filled out app for the new job. Came home cleaned up my house got Ry from school and headed to dance for an hour and half then went to my moms for roughly 30 mins came home gave my son a bath while Ry was with her aunt. As well as cooking then gave sissy a shower when she came home.
TUESDAY 24 worked and thank the Lord above Ry game got cancelled due to rain. So instead of the game she had a friend come over.  But done the same nightly routine. Supper, baths  bed!
WEDNESDAY 25- was slightly an Easy day. Cleaned up my house a bit, then the same afternoon routine.
THURSDAY 26-back to a busy day today! Today I couldn't believe I missed my son getting off the bus! I was in the other room going threw clothes and time got awsy from me! Ugh felt like a horrible mother but my son reassured me that I was not a bad mommy!  Between feeling Horrible sickness wise and horrible I didn't hear the bus. The afternoon start we get things ready because Ry was in yet another parade! She gets out at 3:00 pm and parade meet up is at 4:30! However after we get there about 4:15 I let the kids play at the park waiting for the float.  That's when we find out the parade itself doesn't start until 5:30! Finally parade ends and we are home for well the nightly routine.
FRIDAY 27- worked that morning until 12:30. Came home and honestly relaxed. Then went to get Ry for her to go home with a friend as well as bub had a friend over that day as well. Came home and started supper early. Had most of it fixed before Ken got home BC he took forever getting home! That's when we fixed my daddy a plate, headed to get Ry, then to mom an dads to give him his plate. ( mom is on vacation that's why mom didn't get a plate!) Finally went to the wonderful Walmart to get my check cashed and bought everything we needed to be broke again. (My check was only 73.00) and headed home.
SATURDAY 28- woke up about 7:30 started feeding the kids, got them showered because Fridays we usually skip baths unless they were filthy.  My daughter has seasonal exzema and breaks out real bad on her toosh and her belly. I have to limit her baths to every other day to 15 minutes or her toosh gets really irritated. During winter and summer its the worse but usually seasonal change will cause a flare up. Anyways after showers we got ready and headed to the parade line up and Ken Daddy and bub headed to go watch. This year cotton carnival parade finished our float in record breaking time done by 11:15 got started at 10:10. Its a huge parade. Then Whitney my BFF gave us  ride to my car which took 30 mins due to rerouting because of the parade. Finally to the car and we head to Kens Company picnic. We stayed until about 3:30 and the kids were wore out. Got home got a text that ken won a $25 check voucher to use anywhere. Then I cleaned the kitchen done some laundry and cleaned out my car.  Got ready for work Sunday!

Woohoo what a week. Now do you see the overwhelming feeling. Its nuts but I've been blessed.

That has been my week in a nutshell. Hope to update more soon. But in the mean time check out LilyBean&Baxter and find some awesome gifts for everyone.  * will post pics tomorrow!
