Stomach Bug and A Migraine: OMY!!!

The stomach bug talk for my children school has been floating around on facebook for a few weeks from concerned parents fair warning other parents to start lysoling. Well I must not have gotten the lysoling done fast enough. Yesterday we ended up getting to start an hour late. Why because our head instructor left the key at home which her home is 30-45 minutes away from our school. That was fine by me because that gave me a chance to go drop my redbox movies off and run to the dollar store and grab some headache medicine. I got back in time to sit in my car and study. Passed my test with a 90% with 5 point bonus making it a 95%. However while studying in my car I got sick lets just say I was thankful for a walmart bag.  Yep, threw up praying no one was watching. I felt a lot better. Needless to say after first break the headache came back full force and I had to leave early. I made it home [barely, I kept feeling as if I was trying to sleep and drive] to pull in my driveway to open my door and hit my yard. I came in my house, took my shoes off, changed pants and laid on the couch and slept for two hours. I woke up feeling woozy, but knew I had to get my kids. I made it to school long enough to text my beloved friend to bring the kids to me. Because yet again them Wal-mart bags were coming in handy. That's right threw up for the third tome. [nope and I'm not pregnant! Everyone takes nausea and throwing up as pregnant. Trust and believe I wish that was the case because I felt like mere dog crap.] After the incident at the achool waiting on the kids for a whole 5 minutes in which I was face planting a walmart bag, I went home and slept another 45 minutes. After that I felt better besides waking up at 1:30 to go pee and bam the 4th go around. So what I thought was a migraine was actually the stomach bug and migraine both.  It initially more than likely was the stomach bug that threw me into a migraine.  With all the throwing up I was just physcially weak and exhausted and even started running fever about 9 that night. At this time Brayden had the runs. Done it twice was fine, sent him to school today and needless to say he "sharted" himself. Poor baby. However, he hasnt done that since about 4:30 because he done a but in the car at dance. We were in the car like we do most of the time waiting on sissy. I mean come on thats a two hour wait on top of having to chase Brayden down the hallways making sure he doesn't sneak in the dance room. He's been know to make an appearance or two in the middle of Ry's dance routine because he tells me he is a big boy and is going to potty by himself. But we were in the car and he lets one rip after the countless of times of telling him, "Durning your time of the runs. What may seem to be an innocent fart. Ends up being a complete explosion in your pants!!!" Welp, that fart continued you have a lingering smell. So we had to make our eay thru the crowd of people in the lobby and the hallway full of people waiting dor dance to switch classes to make it to the bathroom. Praying on the way that he hadn't saturated no more than his undies and no one has smelled it. Because it reeked of something quite horrible. You know one of those smells that you smell and can taste it to. Yep my friends it was ridiculously bad.

Come six o'clock Ryleigh was dismissed. Thanking God that Brayden had saturated his drawers anymore because that was his last pair on hand. We got home from dance and first things first, have daddy check those britches. Why not? Mommy had done it pretty much all day. After the initial check we then gave him some pepto. He ended up making it throughout the might with know "sh*t" stains. Hoping he made it thru that day at school because procrastination momma had no back up plan and we only have a certain amount of days during Fundamental Skills to miss. That morning I loaded him up with some pepto and he made it All day no accidents.

So never over look your symptoms when dealing with migraines and throwing up. Especially if you have to drive because the migraine in itself can alter your vision. Throwing up is just a mess that is gonna have to be cleaned up. Sometimes coming with no warning. Not sure about y'all but I vlose my eyes while throwing up. Which can be dangerous when driving.

I knew the stomach bug was coming because of it going around. The funny thing was the day before I got sick. I asked two girls in my class if they have had, did have, or have been exposed to the stimach bug yet. Because I had that nauseous feeling all day.

Thankfuls 4& 5

Day 4: november 4th was reserved for my beat friend whitney. This girl and I have been thru absolutely everything.  She has stood by myside in some of my darkest hours. As I have for her. The joy of her is that our daughters are besties as well.

November 4th is her birthday as well.

November 5th was dedicated to my wonderful boyfriend where on this day we have shared 3 years together. He has been not only an excellent boyfriend but an exceptionally great extraordinary daddy.

Thats a picture of him amd our niece Aliya.

I made it to five and became extremely busy due to starting school. Before November is up I will write a whole blog on being Thankful.

National Prematurity Day

Before heading to bed I wanted to take the time to acknowledge my premature baby. Today is premature day. My Ryleigh was premature in weight due to personal complications. She was two weeks early weighing in at a whooping 4lbs 15 oz.  When I tell my story of my delivery with Ryleigh and the fight I fought to get her here, I let everyone know that she is my miracle baby. 4 days of labor and arguing with my doctor that something was wrong, a mother knows and I was right. Her blood flow that was feeding her had been cut off for two weeks, it was keeping her alive but wasn't feeding her. On the 10th day of October 2005. I told the doctor something was wrong. This momma was right, Ry heart rate was unstable and dropping. I went from being told that I was being discharged with gas pains to having a baby in 25 minutes from when they realized her heart rate was 28. In Honor of Prematurity Day, I am happy to say I have a healthy, intelligent, and sassy 9 year old.

I know I have a lot of Thankfuls to finish along with updating about my first week back at school.( come back to find out what I am going for.)

Although I have all that and more to blog aboiy. I had to take time out to honor my baby.

Thanksgiving November Thankfuls

I'm pretty sure if your on Facebook that you have seen already the Thankful Post that go on all November. Some thinks its annoying others are glad to see someone be thankful instead of complaining.  I am going to try my hardest to blog my Thankfuls everyday in November.  Starting with Day 1-3:

Day 1:

God, I am thankful EVERYDAY for him. Many times in lige we question God, forgive us we ate human. But there has been many times that I have looked bavk and saif if God wasn't on my side I wouldn't know goe wr got thru certain situations.

Day 2:

My kids: they are who make me who I am. Granted they drive me absolutely bat crap crazy but life without them I would be completely lost. My daughter: little fiery red headed inyelligent little girl. She has a mouth that over loads her butt just about everyday. But she is who she is. My son:life would definitely be boring without him. He's my all american mommas boy. He keeps me on my toes with all his men-men (literally he has them scatteted everywhere) and cartoon loving, tire swinging, little boot wearing country boy.

Day 3: my niece and nephew are thise that showed me love doesnt come from a man but from little children that don't judge you by first look and love you even when you arent perfect.

Those are my thankfuls for the past 3 days. Will post more thankfuls tomorrow.

Update

For those that do follow me I want to apologize for my lack of blogging.  From the looks of it, I havent gotten to far behind. My last post was on depression, which oddly enough has been what has occupied my time. A quick rewind and Ill move forward. My friend had a baby August 1st and not right after but in the month after his arrival she started showing signs of Post Partum Depression, then the enevitable happen during this time that made it worse. One of her best friends passed away.  As I stated in my depression post I to suffered PPD. Therefor the past month and a half I have been helping her overcome this and giving her guidence as a new mother.  Not only that but as usual life happens.
Dance for Ryleigh started back.

On top of dance starting and this year it lasting two hours. Comes along Cotton Carnival/parade. Which Ryleigh has participated in since she was 3 and half. Then after the parade we as, in Whitney, her three kids, Ken and our two kids, and Micki laterJeremy came.

As you can see I got conned into riding the farris wheel with these two best frends.

Brayden riding "the cars", about the only thing he was willing to ride.  After The exciting events of cotton carnival, we have been extremely busy with birthdays.

October is one month that is extremely  busy for my household.  Im talking I have 4 birthdays in my immediate family. Three of them are in the same week.  Also on top of my daughters dance. We added Girl Scouts again which will be when busier for me this year because I am going to be a Troop Leader. On top of I am now enrolled to start cosmetology school Nov 11th. Im hoping the good Lord will be by my side and help with baby sitting issues along with other things that may appear.

I know I keep saying it but Im gonna start writing down things I need to blog about.

Thank you to those that have faith in me.

Depression

Considering the recent death of Robin Williams, depression seem to be a good topic.

Depression isn't just a take a pill feel better kind of disease. Depression controls your life. EVERY aspect of it.  Everyone handles it different. People struggle years with it. In Williams case it got the very best of him.  In my case I healed. But it was a strong struggle. I advocate on depression. I help a lending hand, I sit and talk to people. Why? Because when I was 20 years old I struggled with  postpartum depression.  I myself often heard the question Why? To this day I couldn't tell you why. I had a brand new beautiful red head little girl, a family that supported me, and I has friends come in left and right. So why be depressed?  Depression is a disease/ illness that takes over your mind in my opinion. It's like it trains your thoughts to think these off the wall things. It makes you feel worthless. All I wanted to do was die. Also with PPD not all people want the child dead. In my case I never had thoughts oh hurting my child but my thoughts were wanting me dead. I hated life and the medicine doesn't take the pain away. It numbs it but everything is still there in the morning when you wake up.

I struggled for a year nearly with this to the point I was being diagnosed with postpartum blues.  My end was in sight. My parents suggested counseling. I did counseling for nearly a month and half. I got all a long what I needed and that was a stranger to just listen and understand what I was feeling wasn't truly what I wanted to feel. She gave me advice on healing not her opinion.  Truthfully that's all someone wants is someone to listen not someone to tell them oh your fine you'll feel better in a few days. Because in reality that's what you wanted but your mind fought you. I didn't ask for this to take over me. I had a daughter for almost a year I missed her life because I struggled with this crippling disease/illness.  My daughter turn one. My healing began. I put everything in Gods hand. I'll never forget that feeling of that prayer. I told God that I have fought hard for something for a year now. It was then I started to heal. I started to see the light and day. My purpose was to be a mom. She was and still is my life along with her little brother.

My beautiful little red head will be 9 years old in just a matter of days. I haven't missed a beat of her life since healing from PPD. I never want to have to struggle with that. I never want to have to miss out on my children's life because my body and mind controlled every aspect of my life. I wanted to be free and after time I was free.

For those that have never gone through depression and I mean full blown depression please don't judge those who have. Instead lend a helping hand, lend an ear.  Don't face them with your problems give them your shoulder to lean on. Because you will be really surprised to find out exactly what just being there for someone can do for them.

Robin Williams, committed suicide, but in the end he wasn't in his right mind. Depression took over, the wandering thoughts of being dead got the best of him.

If you or anyone that you know is suffering from depression there is help out there.  When time permitting I will find the hot line numbers.

But in the mean time, if you just need someone to listen who has gone through it please shoot me an email.

The knot they found.

As you follow my blog you have learned that I have had issues with my breast. Mainly them hurting.  A few weeks ago, I went in and finally done the dreaded pap smear. Thinking I was going in for just that. I heard the famous words, please undress everything. Excuse you!!! There is only one person I enjoy undressing in front of and it isn't a female doctor.  My normal exam turned into a life threatening thought. I was terrified for the next week. When she done the breast exam she felt a knot in my breast. YES, I have felt them before and got them checked. This time though it was more terrifying the thought of someone who knew what they were doing actually found the knot.  Waited impatiently for a week to have a mammogram done.  I was very relieved to learn that again it was just tissue knots. This time though the radiologist went into detail as to what was going on.  I am a heavy chested woman have been since I was about 12.  But he said that I'm experiencing what they call tissue ripping and causing dense knots  My breast are starting to sag (joys of having kids), but since sagging normally occurs in older woman my body is reacting and the tissue dense which is  up causing the knots. Painful knots!!

However, to woman, young woman, or anyone of the female body! Please take mammograms and pap smears seriously.  Although they are the most uncomfortable test to go through it can be life saving!
