Raising Boys Is A Breeze They Say

That's right, I'm quoting just about every mother who has ever raised a boy.

I can't necessarily complain and say boys are extremely difficult to raise because they aren't. In my case give them little super Hero, cartoons, apple juice, and chicken nuggets and he's happy.

But who am I kidding everyone has happy days but everyone has bad days. The other day for my sweet, sneaky, bundle of all boy Brayden was a bad day.

He has started Kindergarten and so far the first two weeks have been great compared to the first two weeks of Pre-K . But the human in us we all have bad days. Well Tuesday this past week was his bad day. He wasn't necessarily bad at school but he didn't want to pay attention. He didn't want to do what he was told.  But for some reason cutting with scissors fascinated him that day. Let's be clear scissors are for paper. As well as hair by a professional and by some one I'm sure that does clothes. But not a five year old little boy having a bad day.

1. He got his recess taken away. Because of not minding.
2. He got his school box taken away because the pesky little scissors were so tempting that instead of just cutting paper he cuts his shirt.
3. At home he was grounded from his tablet and swimming. The two things he had his hopes up for.
4. Later that night while tucking him away in bed. I noticed an awful lot of hair. Checked his hair didn't seem to be missing. Wait for it.... That's right this momma doesn't raise no dummy. He lifts the top layer of hair and cuts a half dolor size chunk out of his hair.

Was I mad, no. Why be mad every kid does it. He's 5. Yes he did get the talk of what scissors are for.

Raisin boys they say was a breeze. I don't doubt it to be a breeze but I do anticipate the challenges ahead.

First attempt of showing his bawled spot.

Pictures Worth A Thousand Words

This past week I finally googled a recipe I've been drooling for since Christmas. Every year at Ken's family Christmas someone makes a dish called mosstacholi.  Well to be easy since  on my phone I screen shot the recipe. You can give credit to tasteofhome.com .

Exciting Weekend!!!

As said in previous post, my best friend and I went to Rodeo to see Dustin Lynch.  Let's just say he rocked the stage. To be an up and coming artist he done excellent. Also it was very awesome to just be able to just get away. Then Saturday night Kens sister and family came to town on their way back home and we ate at Lamberts. It was everyone's first time except for kens. Wasn't quite what I expected but wasn't as bad either.

Today Sunday August 10, I recooperted from this past weekend.

*update*

We ended up updating phones so all the pictures from Rodeo I was able to take before the phone died are on my old phone. However I was able to get pictures of our visit with Kens sister. Since it took me a few days to learn how to upload apps to my phone that's why I've been absent.

It's That Time of Year

That's right school starts back tomorrow.  To be honest, I LOVE MY kids EVERYONE does. But let me tell ya being a stay at home mom can be one of the hardest jobs ever.  If you are like me you get little help when it comes to watching them. Granted my daughter goes to my parents house a lot to just visit and play to give me a break but I always have my boy with me.  There is no denying the fact that I am literally with my kids from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed.  So this is going to be an adjustment mainly for the fact that My son will be attending ALL day long. He is only use to attending half a day.  HOWEVER, that isn't the only thing going on tomorrow. I'm going to RODEO!

Every year my best friend and I have made it a tradition. To at least attend Rodeo one of the nights. Just us, no kids, no fiances/boyfriends. JUST US. We both are stay at home mothers and ONE night a year isn't gonna hurt the men to watch their children.  With it being the week of RODEO. Guess what? that's right it's raining. It's like a mother nature tradition that it's gonna rain when Rodeo is in town.

However, this weekend is jammed packed.  The excitement of tomorrow has already been announced.  Saturday tho, I'm taking my car to get new tires and alignment, we are meeting his sister for supper, or her coming here not sure, and the most exciting is we are taking our son to go meet the NINJA turtles. Of course I'll update with pictures.  Well that is all for now, I have to let this storm go by before really getting laundry going, but of course I'm going to get the kitchen and living room cleaned up! :)
