Home Management

I have always been interested in home management binders.  To me after reading up on them and seeing them to me they make sense. In my household of 4 I feel as this would be extremely beneficial.  As of right now I am a stay at home mom. I feel cluttered and overwhelmed. At times I feel as if my head is here but over yonder as Well.  Sometimes I don't know if I'm coming, going, or staying still.  When we moved into my parents old house, which in deed was my childhood home, we downsized. Although the clutter is minimizing. I don't feel as it is going very fast. Although we have accomplished a lot.  We done a lot of this de-cluttering this past weekend and getting it organized.

Update:
I started this post a few weeks ago. I must say though in the past week. I have been writing daily to do list and getting them done.  No my house isn't spotless but in just a weeks time I can see a serious change.  Also, I purchased a dollar weekly dry erase board from dollar tree. The kids get really involved when they have a hand in writing their chores down.  It's working.

The school supplies is marked down and out at just about everywhere. I'm going to start getting getting things bought to put together my home-management binder.

I do feel as if we had this even if it's just full of important dates and info, such as budget and bills. That slowly but shortly we will start saving more. Hopefully soon I'll have pictures to share.

Sleep Over =Big Deal

Yes, that you read right. Let me begin by saying my daughter whom is almost 9 is such a mommas girl. To the point she doesn't even want to stay the night with her grandparents in their new house which is 10 minutes away.

So why is a sleep over equalling a big deal. Here goes, my daughters best friend has always stayed the night with us. It's my best friends daughter as Well. However, after Bubs ball game Thursday night my daughter begged and pleaded with me to stay the night with her best friend.  I was determined she wouldn't do it.  Boy was I wrong. While I sat at home worrying myself sick she was 30 minutes away. Yes, 30 minutes. I drove my best friend insane to the point at times I think she was ignoring me.  I had a really hard time with this. I even stayed awake until I got that last text at almost 11:30 saying she was asleep. Then before I knew it. It was morning and can ya believe it she made it all night long.  I have never been more proud for my daughter to finally understand it is OK if mommy is away because she's coming back. But thanks to her sperm donor she does struggle with this, fear that those close to her will abandoned her like he did. But after years of Ken proving to her he isn't going anywhere and myself proving that mommy will be there to get her in the morning. She finally is starting to believe.

Operation Remodel

There has been remodeling going on in our house hold. So far so good. THe picture of the owl is in the kids room. On the freshly new painted walls (of course after it dried). The whole time which has been since the house was built 24 years ago. We have always had white walls. Well since my kids, Ken, and I have taken over we have decided to start fixing her up and repainting the walls. We chose a caramal brown for the kids. I mean doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why.  And for mine and Ken's room we done a French Grey. It reminds me of a very blue storm cloud. Believe it or not kind of relaxing.  But amongst all of this remodeling we have been declutterizing our home. My children have more toys than thy know what to do with. Along with clothes. My goal is to have everything straightened by fourth of July and everything decluttered before the kids start school August 8th. But hoping to honestly be done before July 28 before we head to St.Louis.

This remodel repaint process has been over a Well I will say a month process because we laid our new carpet in the living room first but didn't paint. The past two weekends we have painted and laid new carpet. Most of the credit goes to my wonderful boyfriend and my neighbor Mark.

I also want to give credit where credit is due and that is to DOLLAR TREE. Yes, Dollar Tree. We went to St.Louis back in April with girlscouts . My mother, the kids, and I stayed the night and went shopping the nextra day. I found this cute Owl Wall Art. The rest of the wall art is from Dollar Tree that is more local to use.

I'm sure thus isn't the end to our remodeling chaos but uuntil next time. See ya Later.
