Why does it matter?

You know people during the month of November write out what they are thankful for on Facebook. In a way to acknowledge and do something in honor for Thanksgiving. Well then you have negative Nancy's that complain because they should be thankful all year for this stuff not just November. No shit Sherlock, let people do as they feel without receiving backlash for doing it. To be honest I didn't do the thankful post this year mainly because I kept telling myself I was going to do it and before I knew it we are damn near to Thanksgiving.

Remember my mentions of negative Nancy's a.k.a Debbie Downers. Well for some reason or another I haven't seen a lot of the Thankful post or downgrades from those who do them. But sweet georgia peach, I have never in my life seen so many people have a damn opinion  toward others for putting up their Christmas Tree, bringing out elf on the shelf, or any Christmas Decor before Thanksgiving.

I put my tree up 4 days early this year and made a post about it. Then seen a status from a friend not even 10 minutes after mine saying, "Does anyone believing in waiting until after thanksgiving  to celebrate Christmas? Eat the Turkey before putting your tree up. Damn!! Well I added the cute picture below....

With the following status...

1. I am aware that Thanksgiving is 4 days away.
2. I enjoy making my children happy, they have asked for a week, when can we put up the tree & when will our elves come to visit.
3. Although my tree is up and elves are out doesn't mean I forgot what holiday is next.
4. What gets me is a lot of people who get so worked up over people putting Christmas out before Thanksgiving are   usually the same people "Black Friday" pre-sale shopping on Thursday. Guess what it's still Thanksgiving. So you better watch it a day has 24 hours in it. So technically thanksgiving isn't over until midnight. Sorry ya gotta miss them pre sales at 6 pm thanksgiving day.
5. One last thing, I wish people would understand the elf on the shelf isn't a disciplinary tool. Granted a lot of people including me as seen how great my children act when their elves return, but it holds a whole lot more. Like at 6:30 am when my children wake up running through the house hoping to find their elves. It's the smile on their face.  The happiness to see what the elves are up to while they are sleeping.

Therefor, let it be. Worry about you.

That Time Of Year Again...

That time of year again where my world feels like it is crashing down before me. Is it truely what I want or is it something that just happens. To be honest it isn't what I want but it happens. I suffer with season depression. To be honest some years are better than others. However, I started feeling the affects of it starting today. The cold brisk air reminded me snow and ice is on its way.  I hate snow and Ice, I hate not being able to come and go as you please when there's no way out of the driveway because your car sits low to the ground and ya have snow rifts as high as your thighs ( I am 5'6) so you can imagine that one.  However, I love thanksgiving and Christmas. I love family time.  But I still deal with the seasonal depression. I still ache but with that being said. I am doing my best to actually enjoy this years ending. Hopefully there will be more to come. In Following Days.

Five hours to be up and still no sleep.

My time its 8 minutes until 1 am. I know your thinking good God almighty woman you have to be up in five and half hours.  That's right I do, I mean how lovely would it be that the kids get up quietly, dress themselves, feed them breakfast.  (which in all honesty mine eat at school if they chose to. I now award me horrible mom of the year because I don't wake up every single morning to fix my kids a breakfast. To be honest they chose to eat at school. )   Oh back to daydreaming,  brush their hair and teeth,  gather/make sure they have everything, and then wake me up when it's time to take them.  So what's keeping me awake you may ask? Well it's honestly a number off things. 1. The major thing is my pinched sciatic nerve.  I had a wreck my senior year of high school and fracture my tailbone. Over the years the bottom of my spine which some refer to as your tailbone has curved and looks like a hook.  Which also puts pressure on my sciatic nerve. My son also when I was pregnant laid on my nerve. (Thank You Son*insert sarcasim*)
2. Not as major but important. Cluttered mind, stressful mind, and it won't shut off. I'm in the process of "fall purging". I fall clean and purge, nor spring. Don't ask why, it just works for us better. Don't get me wrong I do spring clean as well just not in depth. However, I'm tired of the clutter. But trying to do it all by yourself gets tiresome (no pun intended). But I lay in bed thinking, what I might do next and then bam, I am up writing a blog post. Before u know it, it's late and I'm needing my brain to shut up at least for 5 hours. Instead I will drag tomorrow and get little to nothing done. Which leads me back to square one. Ugh !!!!!
3. On top of all of that I also suffer from insomnia. I am sure ya could figure that out when I said my brain doesn't shut off when it should. No further details to explain.

Now I will try this whole bed thing one more time.

Adios Amigos/amigas.

Growing Up..

It is something that from the time we are born we are taught. We aren't taught how to "grow up" but we do just that. The things we are taught are for us to take with us when we venture away from our parents. When life takes full force and we become an adult. However there are people out there that just never get that memo. I am no saint but I am human. I do use curse words. When I was younger and going through the "growing up" stage yeah I cursed liked a sailor. As I have become an adult and grew up. I learned that ya can get your point across without being a raging lunatic (well sometimes not all the time.) You know the E Card that floats around Facebook that says, "Why does mommy have to become a raging lunatic before anything gets done?" Yep can't say that I haven't ever done that but back to being a grown up. Some people never do. Then you look at the parents and you can see why but not always.  But into more detail of where this is going, once you have kids and eventually grow up because not everyone is fully mature when they have their first child. But the does should come where you realize life is so much more happier without the unnessacary drama. Right? Well back to where I said not always.

When you are a grown woman looking to manipulate people so in the end you can make yourself seem as you are the victim. Isn't just wrong but shows how much attention you crave. Be a woman face facts and realize you are in the wrong. There is no need trying to tear a small family like town down just so you can get off. It gets old after a long while. No after the first day. Well needless to say this year is almost over and the drama I have been bring into has gonna on started in March of this year. But in the end it shows your mentality and just how childish a person really is. When a person changes their number to get rid of the harassment and you wait months until the initial fight was over to start more again unnessacary drama to get your fix is childish. To involve people in it that barely even know who you are to get a rise out of me is childish. To lie and say you didn't get your add whooped by someone that wasn't me as well as 15 times smaller than you, then get on Facebook and claim the poor pitiful me I tried to kill myself and no one cares. Is again childish because it shows in that situation that ya can't come to terms with getting your ass whooped because others finally figured you out.  But then blame me and say I am the one getting the story wrong and spreading "lies" when I can't help I was told ya got your ass whooped. But doesn't mean I was saying anything about it.

But last but not least lets explain the true childish side of this person and her manipulation. She's in her late 20s a child my daughters age but she coaches her child to go to school and bully the people she's mad at children. Who from the grown up parents children had no clue anything was going on.

Again just venting because in the last week I have been a raging lunatic sailor but in the end I am still the grown up in the situation.  My 6 year is more grown up than the grown woman I am referring to. Now that's sad.

But after the venting I am heading to bed. Hope to get a great nights sleep. :)

Ps. If there is any grammar or misspelled words, sorry it's almost 2 am and I've been up since 7 so I am tired typing most of this with one eye closed. :)

Happy Birthday To You

Happy Birthday to everyone that has had or will have a birthday in October. Who's birthday do I celebrate in October, you may ask? Let me start with my baby girl turned 10. Yes, big ten year on our hands.  She had a last minute birthday party that she enjoyed so much.  Ten days later is my daddies birthday. He turned 60 this year. He has always told me that the day he turned 50, ten years ago he received the best present ever in which was Ryleigh.  Five days after my dads birthday (which is today) is Ken's birthday. He turned the big 34 today. He has enjoyed it by going outside teaching our son how to shoot deer in the "butt"! (Don't worry all Brayden has is a small children BB gun, he isn't allowed to touch it without adult supervision.) he took Brayden out to where Ken has been hunting to check to see if his "salt rocks" have been messed with. Then went skeet shooting with what might as well be our brother in law. And finally tomorrow the 26th is my sisters birthday. Whom will be the big 38 (she will probably hunt me down for enclosing her age) but hey she still looks young.

October is the month we have that literally is the most obnoxious month when trying to budget.  It's everyone we loves birthday month. But on top of it all my baby cousin had her baby October 21st. Woohooooo Lordy help me.

Do you have a huge month that every other day your celebrating a birthday?

October is ours....

What's yours?

Hope you enjoy reading this post. Come back now.

Carnival in the Cold...

This past weekend was one of our local towns annual carnivals. As well as the annual huge parade that my daughter participates in for her dance class.  Needless today this is the first year in six years that we've done this parade that the temperature was devastatingly cold. It wasn't just a cool morning and hot afternoon. I don't think the temp made it past 50 on top of misting rain.  Cold weather didn't stop my babies enjoying their time. Mines the one in the red in re picture below.

OH Where Oh Where Have I Been?

On August 19th was the last time that I posted a blog entry. OH MY, where have I been.  I know in that I would say come back tomorrow to find out why we are so busy.

Needless to say I never came back until now. I am going to fill you in why not only starting in September but actually as soon as school starts why we are so busy.

August is the month that my friend and I go to Rodeo. Not only do we go to Rodeo but that's when school starts back.  You would think that during the summer we would be busy and at times we are. However, the school year especially fall is when we are the busiest.  Especially starting September.  September 8th actually this year is when Ry's dance year started. (6th year baby!!!!) Not only that but she is at that point in her life in school where she can start playing little league volleyball, cheer leading, and etc. This year she chose volleyball. I mean you can't necessarily beat $20 dollars to play for a few months. Their games didn't actually start until September 19th and they began practices the last week or so of August. So on top of Dance on Mondays for almost 2 hours. She has Volleyball on Tuesday (practices) and Games on Saturday morning. (yes you read that right, on Saturday Mornings.) We also for both kids have had parent teachers conferences already. However, now we have hit the month of October. Tomorrow is October 1st and for us this is when the end of the year becomes one hell of a time.  October especially, are you ready for this??? October 10th, Ryleigh Birthday, October 20th, My dad's birthday, October 24 is a good friends birthday, October 25 is Ken's birthday, and October 26th is my sisters birthday. OY what was I thinking being friends with people in October. HEHE love them anyways.  So from the month of October until December we are short on money always. Between birthdays, trying to save for black friday, as well as buying Christmas in between on top of regular bills. (Speaking of which Ken gets paid tonight and need to budget out bills this week.)  Needless to say that since my daughter is turning 10 and will be in double digits {LORD HELP ME} we decided to throw her a party. She chose the place and mommy and daddy have paid.

Now on to some exciting news. I am going to start VLOGing I feel this is a way for me to blog and be able to capture everything in my children's lives. As well as talking about random things such as you know LIFE!

I only have one VLOG up as of now. I mean I just started.

Savings....

Sometimes I often wander why tax time couldn't be at the end of the year. That would be awesome. We had come into some financial hardships due to switching jobs and slowly but surely have caught back up. However this time we have decided to start a savings envelop.  Each week starting this week we are going to put as much as we can into a savings envelop and go from there. We have to do this because from September to December we are jammed packed with everything imaginable. Stay tuned tomorrow to find out why we are so jammed back by the end of the year.

Have any tips about savings that you guys have been successful with, comment below!

Half A Day of The First Day

That's right!!! You didn't read that wrong. How lucky were my kids to get a half a day off on their first day back? Seriously no joke! We as parents have the right to sign up for alert texting. I just so happen forgot to do so after I had my number change due to crazy person. Never thought much about it and kind of forgot due to the fact at the time I had my number changed we were out of the snowy months. Therefor knew they wouldn't be calling school off anytime before summer because really the school had no more days to miss.  Summer comes and goes ( promise hoping to get the computer out from hiding tomorrow to update you all on why I have been M.I.A pretty much all summer.) and here is the first day of school (pictures down below).

[Not sure why Brayden looks constipated in the picture by himself. Ryleigh was looking at the TV as if mom I don't have time for the photos. The bottom left hand picture was so cute but my favorite is the top right corner. ] That picture is my favorite as follows (Copy and Paste from Instagram)....As the first day of school is winding down and it's close to this momma's bed time. I must say out of the few pictures I captured today. This one is my favorite. When I took them to the cafeteria before leaving I said, "Bub I want one more picture of you and sissy." This picture is what I captured. The true love he has for his sister. Hard to believe my babies are in 1st and 4th grade.

Back to them getting out half a day. My lovely boyfriend/fiancé (not official but our phones list him as my husband/me as his wife) always calls me everyday at 11:05 in his lunch break. He said, "Are ya waiting on the kids?" Replying in a smart as manor, um no honey they get out at 3:00 pm and I know I sit 30 minutes prior. He said, "Did ya not get the text about the school dismissing at 11:50?" Replying this time as if I was dumbfounded because I was stating um no honey I haven't and I bet it's because I never register my new number. So hung up on him and called sure enough. They were fixing to dismiss. Why? Because the high school was having electrical problems and the district is a whole therefor they let everyone out. Mainly because the highschool itself doesn't have any windows.  None of the kids or staff was comfortable. As a parent I know I would want my kid out of the school. The other thing is now we must wait until morning to find out if they are out tomorrow. I was first informed by the secretary that a transformer blew. Then on FB teachers and other parents said school in session due to the electric was fixed to only find out that supposedly the electric was still off and it was wiring gone bad and it may take all night and all day tomorrow to fix.

However due to the unknown which I hate. This mommy is heading to bed to get some sleep before my 615 am alarm goes off.

Nighty Night

Tomorrow I Am...

.....a mother to a 4th grade little girl, whom in September starts her 6th year of dance, as well as turning 10 in October.  Where did my 4lb 15oz baby go? She is growing into such a beautiful young lady. Her hair has still got the red tint in which I hope she carries for many years but feels that it's starting to darken like her mothers.

.....a mother to a 1st grade little boy. Who will hopefully once momma works out the finance and finds the best place to start will be starting his first year of karate, turning 7 this coming February, as well as his 3rd year of Tball ( I know that's later on!). Where has my 6lb 11oz baby gone to?

My kids start back to school and although I love the break but come on now time can slow down any moment now.

I love my babies (they will always be my babies.

I Am Back

The summer is ending and school starts up again. I'll explain more in detail about my disappearance and the day in the life that never got posted. However Facebook has a really cool feature now where you can stroll down memory lane. Well I have often wandered when it was I found out/ announced I was pregnant.

In the picture below you will see that screenshot announcement along with what a difference seven years makes.

Enjoy. Keep following for more to come.

Day In The Life Blog???

I love watching VLOGS of day in the life's and just in general of younger moms. Most in which are younger 20s to even teens. I have even questioned even starting my own YouTube channel. (Come back to find out later if I decided to!) however I thought about BLOGGLING a day in the life with pictures tomorrow. Basically a day in the life of a mother close to 30 shown through pictures. Will be neat. Please come back tomorrow or Thursday to see the finally product. Considering tomorrow the first time since school let out I have to get up at 6 am to get kids ready brayden has to be at the dentist at 8:15.!

Again, I am so sorry haven't blogged much. The summer time this year just has been a crazy busy/almost not busy enough boring summer. Make sense? I didn't think so. Not only will I do the |DITL| Blog but I will try and make a separate post on what has really been going on this summer.

8% Battery and What do I do....

Decide what better time to blog. Guys I am so sorry about my lack of blogging. I am busy most days during the summer and sometimes well most of the times forget to blog before bed. Mainly because when bedtime rolls around I am ready for bed. Why? Because it's summer and my kids feel the need to stay awake later. However considering we have just over a month and one week of school, I am trying to get them someone back into a bedtime routine. Day 2 and we are second time in bed way before 11 pm.  I am hoping to catch some free time this week to update everyone on everything happening this last month. I promise I have not forgotten y'all but remember I am a busy momma too. :)

Summer

I have let Summer catch up to me. To the point it's hard to believe in little over a month the kids will be back in school. The question then should be, where did summer go.

In the next few days, hopefully tomorrow I will catch everyone up. No quarentee considering my sister graduates nursing school.

Come back to find out what we have done and haven't done the past month.

See you guys soon.

Pricing for Tires

Last August 2014, I bought brand new tires for my car. Talking $568 worth of tires, reminding you these tired aren't even a year old. Since purchasing such high dollar amount of tires that my front alignment was free. I also purchase a protection plan.   My complaint isn't spending that much on 4 brand new tires.

Here's my complaint: they failed to do their job!!!

The tires aren't even a year old and I spent all that money for MRE tires, but one tire on the passenger front size has balded. The front driver side has started to as well. Eight months after purchasing four brand new tires, now I am going to have to replace two. The manager guy point blank admitted to me that they did not align it like they were suppose to. Since they failed to do their job its my fault because I didn't have my tires rotated.  They also failed to tell me that their protection plan cancels out if you are in hit at 6000 miles to rotate your tires.

My Issue:

Two brand new tires with lifertime alignment and protection plan is going to cost me at this place $401. Why on earth would I pay damn near for four tires for only two tires? There's no way. Would you pay that for two tires?

Well needless to say they also lost my business that day for the fact that I was arguing the fact they didn't do their job and now I'm having to replace two tires that aren't even a year old. They more less told me that all I was doing is trying to get two new tires for free. When in reality I only went in there to get one fixed they found out it was two that needed fixing.  Also, I told them that I do have two small children who are in the car with me all the time. That if I had a blow out and my kids got hurt or even LORD forbid get killed. The manager told me that people have blow outs every day. It isn't their fault or business.  As stated above they don't tell ya the fine print well the print that was not there. However,  I learned my lesson I will never pay extra for a protection plan that they themselves won't back up!

Shredded Chicken With a Mixer

Not sure if anyone has seen floating around on Facebook the video clip of whole chicken pieces laying in a crock pot, then the lady/man takes a mixer and starts shredding the chicken!  It was the right timing when I seen this video shared because the following night which was last night I was making tacos and we were wanting chicken tacos. It takes me forever to shred cooked chicken with a fork but with this life hack it was completely awesome and cut the time down to no time.  I'd honestly say at least a minute if that!

On the way home from dance called my hunny and told him since he would be home before me to go ahead and get the chicken and put it in some water on the stove to boil.  By time I got home it was cooked. While I was getting the ground beef together to start cooking for beef tacos as well, I let the chicken cool down just a bit.

The picture below is my cooked chicken and mixer.

One minute (if that) later, I have shredded chicken for chicken tacos or chicken nachos.

Now we all know the secret to the perfect shredded chicken. Thank You whomever posted that video to allow people to share it! :)

Little League

I am extremely disappointed this year in the lack of coaching support. I signed my son up almost a month ago for little league tball. I called last week wanting to know about when they would be starting practices.  One week from today exactly  they had the coaches meeting. Still after a week I heard no word from anyone regarding my son sons tball team. Today remind you one week after the coaches meeting I was in town and went by the place my son will be playing through. The place that my son playsvtball threw the employees were disappointed too hear we stilll hadn't heard anything. They gave me the coaches name as well as number to contact them myself and after calling all day. Finally got ahold of one coach to let alone to my surprise the coach whose phone kept going straight to voicemail is the head coach and she was suppose to call everyone Monday night to inform the parents that there is a practice Tuesday May 12 at a certain time. Your right that is today and I found out two hours before after already having plans. So my son missed his first practice of the year due to lack of coaching communication. What's even more funny is this coach himself, the one in whom I spoke to, wasn't so sure about anything. And another parent had contacted him curious as to when practices were going to be. This coach didn't even know where the practices took place considering this is his first year.  Sad part is they start games in less than two weeks.

My thought if you are going too volunteer to coach at least follow these guidelines as follows.

1. List a number you can be reached.
2. Similar to number one communication is the key to a successful season especially if ya want your kiddos the to play.
3. Waiting last minute gets you no where. Do as you were instructed at the coach's meeting. Because you were instructed to get a hold of your WHOLE team, not just one or two hoping that need would fly in the wind.
4. Yes I understand its volunteer and no pay but have some compassion/passion. The kids are only 5&6 year olds they get their hearts broke easily.
5. Similar to Number 4, volunteering or not you agreed to o this therefore do it. Don't be so busy with other things. If you work more than I'd say 30 hours a week job and that's pushing it, don't coach tball. If ya have a million and one other things you do that occupy you more than 50% of the time, coaching little league tball is not for you.

Am I angry? A little because after shell in out $50 for my on to play summer tball. I casmt even get the head coach to call me back.

Go To Meal/Easy Meals

What is Your GO TO MEAL? Meaning what do you fix because it's easy and you don't feel like cooking or what is the meal that you GO TO because that's really all ya have left in the house until pay day!

Our Go To Day is today. We are going grocery shopping tomorrow! Our go to meal tho always seems to be Cheeseburgers. At first I absolutely hated making cheeseburgers because they never came out right. A few months prior to the second time I made cheeseburgers (without using premade patty's). We had got some seasoning, called Gourmet Burger by Weber. One night when using it threw a little seasoning salt with it. Bam, we had some awesome tasting cheeseburgers.

Although it's our go to meal, it is also at least cooked once every week and if we begin to get burnt out on them we eat them at least every other week.

Wednesday, this year during the school and dance year has been busy for me because Ryleigh does dance from 4-6:00pm. Therefor, by time we got home especially during those dreaded winter months. By time we got home, I was getting kids ready for bathes, getting supper cooking, continuing the laundry that is never done, and getting kids ready for the next day along with bed time. So cooking cheeseburgers was easy for me, also some of the time Ken usually got home before us and he would throw in a lasagna, or do spaghetti.  The kids favorite was when we do Little Ceasers Pizza.  Which they get a Cheese Pizza. I order the Italian Cheese Bread* and if ya haven't tried go try it. It's amazing! Well to just about everyone in my household.

*I have provided links to Weber Gourmet Seasoning. It's not the exact seasoning but it is pretty close.  Then provided a link to show the Italian Cheese Bread.

Mother's Day Weekend

Saturday:  Saturday was just one hell of a day. I had to go pick up Ryleigh's Dance Costumes. Then that afternoon I curled a few little girls hair for their Eighth Grade Graduation Dance. Mainly just to help out because if anyone has children in Dance age school knows that it begins getting expensive now with these little dresses and what not!  After that I ran to my mothers house to drop off Ryleigh's costumes because she has more space up there. And I'm in the middle of trying to declutter my house. That is the last thing I need is her costumes to come up missing two weeks before recital.  Then later that night Ken and I got the kids to bed and we watched "50 Shades of Grey".  Let me explain that movie was an awesome movie but they hook ya and sink ya. The ending keeps you wanting more. I laughed and said I won't be watching anymore of those movies until they are all out on DVD.  That was my Saturday! Before going to bed. The one thing I asked was I got to sleep in and wake up to the Kids bedroom being picked up! TOYS everywhere.

Sunday: I got to sleep in and boy did I sleep in. I woke up at like 7:30 with a pounding headache. Decided to eat a bowl of cereal and before you know it I fell back asleep and didn't wake up until 12:30. I felt refreshed and that I slept my day away. I went and visited with my mom. Just Brayden and I went. Ryleigh was in one of her moods and just wanted to stay home.  I helped my mom out for a little bit then came home. Nothing too serious.

Now onto Monday: Today is just a rainy crappy day. Therefor I am continuing with the laundry. Fixing to go clean the kitchen up before going and getting the kids later. I hope to have a lot done today just so I can relax this week. I am still waiting to hear from Brayden's TBall coach to find out when he starts TBALL! Other than that if anything eventful happens will update you all. :)

My Heart Smiled Just A Little More

I had a busy day of picking up costumes, doing hair, and came home only to run to town again. I am wore out but got to enjoy my gifts the kids made me. They both were absolutely gorgeous. Something that really touched my heart was the plaque Ry brought home. A lot of people know in the beginning of mine and Ken's relationship especially when we moved in together. Ry struggled with the fact of who is this man taking the place of my Papa. (We lived with my parents until Ryleigh was six years old. Her Papa was the only male figure she had in her life because her sperm donation person hasn't been here since she was two. Even before then I can count on 2 hands how many times he seen her the first two years of her life.)  For a while when we'd be in public and someone say to Ken awe you have some cute kids. Ry would reply he's not our dad. My heart smiled though the day she realized Ken wasn't going anywhere and accepted the way things were on her own. She now agrees her daddy has cute kids. She tells everyone he is her daddy. And today my heart smiled even bigger when I seen her  plaque from school that said Happy Mothers Day on the back was signed RYLEIGH E.

E is the beginning of Ken's last name. :)

Q & A

I have been asked a few questions, whether it be on here or people who have followed me on Google Plus, Facebook or Twitter.  I have been planning to make this post for about a week now. Lord have mercy just about everyday this week something has come up. Not only that but still dealing with the pain from having a tooth extracted. However, there are three questions that have been asked quite a bit therefor I will answer them three now.

1. Does your children's fathers have anything to do with them?

  • This question in a sense is one of my favorites because it gives me a chance to actually explain the situation coming from the person who actually knows the truth.  To answer this question as a simple answer it would be NO. If you would ask their dad's it would be "She keeps them from me."  Do I keep my kids from their dads.  No I have never kept my children from their dads.  My daughters dad hasn't seen her since she was two years old. My son's dad is more of a convenient dad. When it was on his time? However, I have been called every name in the book by both men who have chose to walk out of their children's lives but have no one else to blame but themselves so they blame me.  My daughters dad knows that I live in the same spot that I have since the day that I had Ryleigh as well as my sons dad. Whom my sons dad is prison again. The first time he was in prison we wrote back and forth. He gets out after promising to step up his game. It took him a week to call me after he got out of prison. Then after that phone call which was a decent phone call no fighting, nothing. I hadn't heard from him. I think a lot of that is because he talked to Brayden. When he told Brayden that "Daddy Loves and Misses You". Brayden is smart and knows he hasn't been in the picture therefor Brayden replies you aren't my daddy and I don't miss you! Then asked to speak to his brother. Brayden will tell you his daddy is Ken. Ken has been in the picture for 4 years straight almost, will be in November.   Ryleigh after being with and living with Ken for almost 2 years finally realized and accepted that her real dad wasn't coming back around. She finally accepted after some trials and tribulations that Ken wasn't going anywhere. She began calling him Ken Daddy.
2. Speaking of Ken, the next question when are you and Ken aka Ken Daddy getting Married? Or do ya'll plan on getting married.

  • Yes, we plan on getting married. we were shooting for this year but not sure if that will be possible because right now Ken has had an interview with a very big company and hoping to get on there. If that happens that will put us back a few months trying to catch up bills. Weddings cost money! However, we have talked about when he does get this better job possibly getting married at the court house then going and having a wedding next year.
3. Is there a reason you aren't going to hair school anymore?
  • There is a lot of reasons why I am not going back to hair school. Some in which I can't discuss or write about right now. A lot of my decision was base don the fact that students were teaching students how to do hair. That's not at all how that is suppose to work.  Then after figuring and what not until we can get ken a better paying job we couldn't afford for me to go the school that I have always dreamed of going too.  However, I WON'T give it up. Just sometimes, most of the time life happens and you have to pick your priorities.
Thank you for the questions. Would love for some more questions.

Hope to hear from ya'll soon!

Morning Routine

In reality and middle of all the chaos, I don't really have a set routine. My kids are like me and very rarely eat breakfast. (Yes, I make my kids breakfast if they are hungry in the morning!) I as well am human and have ran late in the mornings.   Lately I have been waking up between 6:30 & 7. More toward 6:30, especially on Wednesdays and Thursday's, mainly because my dad switched jobs awhile back and actually has time off during the weeks. Wednesday's and Thursdays and instead of setting a very loud alarm usually my mom will sleep in the other so in the mornings when she has to get up she doesn't disturb him. Therefor I am my mothers alarm but not for long because summer break is right around the corner. Usually once I get the kids dressed, fed if they wanna eat, and out the door by 20 til 8 on mornings they wanna eat breakfast at school. Other mornings we leave 10 minutes until 8. The routines aren't really routine. My blog wouldn't be named Occasionally Chaotic if I was strictly to the T all the time.

Once the kids are off to school, if I have errands to run, the mornings is when I'll do them. I don't normally have something to do everyday but this week I have. The dentist I went Monday, went and picked up a few items Tuesday, helped my mom today and dance for Ryleigh. Tomorrow is another day but it's an unexpected day for an errand.  Friday is bill day.

Okay, back to the normal routine. I start laundry. I do sit and watch TV for a bit to finish waking up because let's be serious who in their right mind likes waking up at 6:30 am every morning? Not I, but I am a mom and that's what I do.

After I get chores done around the house and some outside such as picking up things I see obvious in the yard that needs not be there or just simple cleaning sweaping off the porch. Usually by time the morning is gone it's more up in the air that afternoon.

Seriously tho, it's end of the school year, dance year is ending, and summer activities and TBALL starting. My life isn't always chaotic just occasionally.  But the coming up morning will catch some photos of what we do.

Holy Pain Get it Gone.

Toothache Pain is the worse pain ever. Luckily I have a wonderful dentist that is going out of town for two days and is going to work me in between two patients today. The bad part is I'm getting this tooth pulled at three o clock and my daughter has dance at 4. Luckily I will have a friend there to help Ry try on costumes if I don't make it in time to help her try on her costumes.   With that being said I need to get things hunted up for dance before having to go get Ryleigh. I will post later about the eventful day I've had!

Update as of 5/8/2015: The toothache pain itself has went away. I have had issues with my jaw for going on two weeks now. He says its normal. I was beginning to believe he broke my jaw because he said the tooth itself was hard to get out and he struggled getting it out.  So far today the pain isn't that bad actually the only time my jaw pain bothered me was when I tried eating a hot dog.

Will keep y'all updated.

Y'all come back and find out what's coming up in the near future with summer coming on! :)

Spring IS Near..

The past two weeks that highest that it has got temperature wise is 65 minus a few days it did get up in the 80s. When you hear spring what do you think of?  To be honest I don't think of birds chirping, flowers blooming, grass growing, or them pesky bugs that fly around and suck the blood out of you aka mosquitoes. I think of SPRING CLEANING!   When I was attending school my house got behind. Even though it was school, I was gone most of the day, by time I got home it was time to go get the kids from school and come home, or run errands.  Therefor things got behind.  Today though, I have ran my errands this morning and since being home about 10. I've done nothing but spring clean.  My house is smelling like green apple blossom.  Yesterday, I know I posted I was getting back to spring cleaning and which I done. At that time, I was a room away from having it done. Meaning that I got all the bulk of the mess picked up and today has been sweeping, mopping, dusting, spraying the house. Laundry out the wazoo.

After I finish this post I will be vacuuming and then it is time to change out of less sweaty clothes (LOL) then going to Nana's house!

Well gotta go and finish this stuff! :)

Blog Challenge Update

I really wanted get into a routine of writing in my blog everyday! LIFE HAPPENS! Lately a lot of that has been happening between unnecessary drama, my dad's health, and this time of the year becomes busy for me to say the least!

Let me begin by saying that under no circumstances did I plan for things like this to happen in my life besides my daughters recital!

Not sure if I posted about it before or not but a little over a month ago my dad had a heart attack. Wasn't massive, but was indeed a heart attack. They did find a clot in his heart in which they are trying to dissolve with medicine.  Most of anyone that knows me knows my dad is my rock he is my everything. My dad (as well as my mom) do a lot for us but in all honesty mainly for their grand kids. For the most part tho, ken and I do everything.  I mean to be honest even though I'm not at my parents house everyday (just about it seems), I have been helping my mom do things on the computer for her crafts she enjoys doing. As well as just nonchalantly keeping an eye on my daddy.

All I will say is that the unnecessary drama was just that unnecessary.  It was an adult acting like a high schooler. Them aren't just my words. I'm not the only one that said this person has always acted like she forgot to leave the high school bull crap when she left school.  However, so far its calmed down and nothing much else has been said. The old say goes though, "CALM BEFORE THE STORM"

My kids.

Ryleigh has gotten recital folder, and we are preparing for all to come.  Brayden my youngest we are waiting on TBALL couches to get picked so we know what team he is playing on.  We have my nieces softball games coming up. She comes from the one true best friend in life that I do have.

But folks that is all that has been going on. Now Gotten get off here. I'm a room away from having spring cleaning done! :)

Perfect Weekend Get Away

This will be short and simple so I can get back to studing. In reality though my life is simple. The perfect weekend getaway for me would simply be able to go with Ken somewhere without kids as much as we love them, but just go to relax. Nothing fancy, nothing extravagant. Just plain and simple get out of town and enjoy ourselves.

April Blog Challenge Starting Day 1

Remember I said I wanted to do this challenge to try and get myself in a routine. Because it takes 14 days to get yourself in a set routine and Id love to be in a set routine of blogging.

Considering today has been busy with buying the kids their trampoline,

Cutting my sisters hair,

And coming home at almost 10 pm. I hurried got kids to bed and just got done studing for my test from Friday I missed.  Let's hope they don't try to say one they need copies, or try and spring the other two make up test on me that I've been asking to make up for two weeks now that for some reason they don't have copies.  Because I bust my butt for three hours studying for the test over wigs. The other two test I need a refresher.

I will make day one just a simple one.

My top 5 Favorite movies:

1. PS I LOVE YOU
2. Blind Side
3. Fault in our Stars
4. Lion King
5. Beauty and the beast

There you have it day one my favorite movies. Now off to dream land for a few hours.

What to Expect...

As I have said so many times before , I am trying to get better at blogging. To be 109% honest I am only human. I am also a very busy human and there's days where I ask countless of times what day it is. I am legally a single mom but a taken single mom. Make sense? Didn't think so but Im pretty sure if ya stay tuned for the next 30 days. You will come along a post by what that means. Starting April, I was going to do this 39 day blog challenge. But there are so many of them I liked, that I am going to add tomorrow and Tuesday along with April. There will be a few I have to change because I don't have that type of social media but for the post part you will learn more about the gal behind her mobile device/computer.

I am also doing this because they say it only takes two weeks (14 days) to get your self into a solid routine. Although our life is chaotic, we still need some routine to it to keep up with events coming our way.

Pleaee come back and see what ya find out about me as well as asking your own questions.

Early Morning Food For Thought

I know it's been a while since posting. I swear one of these days my life will slow down and I will post countless of times. But I kind of woke up to use the bathroom and now wide awake. Scrolling through facebook. I see things and not particularly people I keep on a constant personal level but people that you are aquaintences with, such as people you know from high school that ya bump into out in public numerous times. As well as those people that you know through other people that know them on a personal level that come to you and vent about said person because they don't like the things they do in life, especially the abuse their children endure. Remembering that child abuse isn't always physically but nine chances out of ten is neglect. With that being said here is my way early food for thought.

(I posted this on Facebook, therefor a few things may seem the same as above.)

"Early morning thought... How can parents (mommy/daddy) claim their children are Mommy's babies or daddy's baby when mommy is never with them or vice versa? I mean when having kids I didn't know walking out of your kids life, moving to different areas with different people without your kids, as well as little to no contact qualified you as a parent. Or it gave you the right to say they are Mommy's baby or daddy's baby.    I thought being in your child's life actively gave you that right. (Not directed toward anyone in particular just a random thought. Because believe it or not it's happening more and more grandparents/family members raising the babies while momma or daddy still partying.)"

I don't feel as if I am wrong in saying this about the world of parenting now a days. I have two kids by two different men and I feel this way toward them. My daughters dad not sure if he even acknowledged Ry as his which is fine by us because she has finally moved on with that chapter of her life. As well as my son but his sperm donation bank was always bad about posting on Facebook pictures hed copy from my picture albums from my facebook. Caption always being look at daddys boy. My thought and I would comment a lot of time with nope sorry he's momma's boy. Because first off to get that title as daddies/MOMMAS baby you actually have to be actively in child's life. Actively doesn't count when it's a phone call possibly once every six months if that. Actively doesn't count when said parent goes to prison writes other parent how hes found jesus and when ya get out your gonna be the best damn daddy ever and ya get out of prison don't even give said child a phone call until 3 weeks after your out. Then six months later your right back in serving your full sentence.  Therefor no you have a title of sperm donor and I have the right of calling my children Mommy's babies.

Again even though sounded like it this was just early morning random food for thought but I used my situation as an example.

Now it's time for me to go off to dreamland again. My daughter has a friend over and Im sure they will be up early.

When It Rains It Pours

I thought before getting up and cleaning that I would get my computer out an update everyone on the stuff that has been going on. Most who follow and read know that my neighbor passed away over a month ago. Needless to say the stress didn't end there. Two weekends ago my daddy had a heart attack. Yes, it was an extreme shock to our family. For the most part he is pretty healthy medically wise besides of course having high blood pressure and diabetes 2. What I'm trying to say is that he hates going to the doctor for minor things so he thinks they are but he does regularly go to the doctor.

This past week both my kids have been sick with the stomach bug!!! Gross I know.

The weather has been pretty lately. meaning more kids are down at my house passing germs. Needless to say both my kids got sick.

I guess since I have done what I said I was going to do and that was to update you guys on why I have been gone. Now I'm going to go clean house and lysol! I'm extremely late on cleaning today. Well cleaning period! :)

10 Facts About Me

I have had a few people ask what is there to know about me. Just me. I will start by giving 10 facts about me.

1. I was born July 31st 1985, that means what your thinking. I will be 29.96 on my birthday. Really, that's the new 30.
2. I have a severe case of TMJ. Jaw disorder. To some known as lock jaw.
3. I am one of those people that will stop in the middle of the road to let and older person, children in general to go across the street. I mean come on common courtesy respect your elders. Children as well being children sometimes get lose from parents and run. I mean in reality I live in a small town. Main road is popping with a post office, store, and even salon. People are always walking across the street. Doesn't take five minutes out of your day to let them by.
4. Im the youngest of 2. My sister is damn near eight years older than me.
5. My relationship with my boyfriend has been the longest relationship I've had. Besides my father of course he's the first man I ever lived with and will be my last.
6. I have 5 friends that consider brothers and sisters/my best friends or both. In which two are guys and I grew up with both of them.
7. My best girlfriend could give you ten completely different facts about me.

10. I want all together 4 kids possibly 5.

Snow? Again?

That's right again. Not only snow but underneath is a layer of ice. I am thankful however tho. This was all suppose to start at 6 am this morning. The rain from last night never stopped but the freezing rain held off a while for the most part. I was able to go to town get a few items I needed, such as milk, bread, groceries to last in case none of us could get out, cigarettes (I know I could have done without most think. But being snowed in, two cabin fever kids, and momma would not have resulted in the best time to go cold turkey). By time I got home up north about an hour or so from me had been dealing with it since about 9ish this morning.  Ken's job even let everyone go home early. To be safe but also because of people for stranded the company would have to provide hotel rooms. By time the sleet and freezing rain got to my town it was almost 2. Then by 3:30 pm snow start and as of right now (10 minutes before midnight) the snow and drizzling of snow is still fallen.

Therefor this will result in everyone being snowed in to the point they have severe cabin fever come this weekend.

By the way not sure if I have ever mentioned how badly I hate old man winter.  Not to fond of cold, fridget, and breath taking air. Not fond of extremely hot weather either but hey at least we can get out of the house.

Hope everyone stays safe!!!

Crazy Life....

It's been extremely busy around here lately. I had forgotten to post about new planner.

To be honest as busy as we have been I really haven't been able to really dig deep into it. However, I like how the weekly calendars are sat up to where each day says morning, evening, and night.  I did tonight with the handy stickers in the back start me a spring cleaning list. I am bound and determined to get all these clothes gone thru in the next few weeks. My house has never been so cluttered until we moved back into my childhood home. That is because before moving back here and before Ken and I. Ken had lived on his own for more than ten years and had been married before. In them years he accumulated a lot of stuff.  Then we we moved in together in one year of living together, we together accumulated a lot between him and I and the kids.  When we moved to my childhood home we went from a house with a basement to a house without a basement.  Our biggest issue lately though is that I am at school use to be 8-4, but now will only be 8-1:30 (will explain later) and him at work all day. Then on Saturdays this past November and December he worked and I went to school. In this process clothes began piling up. I began becoming overwhelmed and done minimal laundry. Meaning what we needed to survive for the week.  That's where my Erin Condren Life planner came about. I felt once I got it and got my hands into getting organized to fit my families busy weeks.

The planner was $50 and in reality could be cheaper but it is a good quality, thick. And detailed planner. Therefor the pricing is probably just about right.

I love the cheetah and the personalization.

The rings that hold it together are thick metal rings nothing flimsy like notebook metal.

Over all so far happy with my purchase and will post more in depth later when I am able to take more pictures.

The Weather Outside Is Not So Delightful

Really it's not!!!! My kids were out last Monday for Presidents Day with the week following with Snow Days. They were out today and tomorrow as well.  We had to reschedules Brayden's birthday party. At the rate it's going he may not have the rescheduled one but when is the maddening going to end.

Brayden's birthday was Last Friday and we had a very eventful day.  I got my Erin Conden life planner which I will post about later. My baby boy turned six, insert sad face. However we were still stuck inside. Talk about cabin fever. Finally this weekend it got rainy, didn't melt the snow but slushed it up and a friend came and plowed the slush. But the one thing on Brayden's birthday I couldn't quit thinking about is how it is one more month until spring.  I have been counting down the days.

Now tho, I am off to bed. Good Night
Y'all.

Come back soon to read about my Erin Condren life planner.

Insomnia Take 1

It seems on mornings that I need to be up moving around at the butt crack of dawn that my mind doesn't shut off for me to go to sleep. Yes there has been a lot of excitement today going on. As previously post a close friend of the family's grandfather passed away. In which he might as well be our family. That's why the next statement may make it seem that way. My little sister as I call her is up for her grandpas funeral tomorrow. I gotta get me two kids ready in time to run to walmart and the florist and be to funeral visitation by 11 am. Needless to say my house is where everyone mingles because I have kids and that's just easier. Therefor Julie and Linley have crashed on my couch which has made it exciting for Ry bc she loves and misses her Julie. But with all and all today has Ben good. Now it's time to shove brayden on top of Ken daddy and this momma to get some sleep.

The World Lost A Great Man

Today has been overcome with sadness. My neighbor Mark, whom is 6 months older than me and we grew up together, lost his grandpa. Whom he had been taking care of for the last 6 years. Mark took care of him to avoid putting him in a nursing facility. He had Alzheimer's and his mid was deterioating. Mark left this morning to run and get lunch and came back and his grandpa had passed. Mark is ok right now but is heartbroken. Vernon took care of mark. Vernon raised Mark. Those that believe in prayer please pray for this family as he was a great man. Pray for Mark even tho you don't know him to help ease his pain and understanding to help him make it thru the funeral.

Now it's time to head to bed.

Night y'all !!!!

Snow Days

That's right we are under a snow storm right now.  Technically the snow has stopped for the most part. But we have accumulated a lot of snow. UGH! Who else hates snow? I know this girl does. I keep thinking as of tomorrow we will be exactly one month away from St. Patricks Day.  Meaning we are three days from the first day of spring. I absolutely can not wait to be able to sweat my butt off during the summer months.  I absolutely love summer not only because of warmth but the days last so long. Meaning I will get out of school at 4 and still have almost 5 hours of light!

So what have we done today for our snow day. NOTHING!  Well unless you consider studying anatomy, trying to clean as much as possible, on top of laundry, let Ryleigh outside for a few so she could play.  Needless to say that didn't last long, the wind got up and I made her come in. We got a text that they already let school out for tomorrow! Well, my kids school. We still haven't been updated to whether or not we are out of hair school tomorrow! I'm sure hoping so.  Considering my boyfriend whom is from Chicago and is use to weather like this, made it about 15 minutes from home and decided to turn around and come home because the interstate of all places was horrible. The interstate actually up by his work was shut down for a while because they had a 15 car pile up.  That's the other reason why this weather sucks!

As of right now, going to get off the computer finish up the laundry try to anyways. I actually took trash out and checked on our cat. I thought I would be smooth and step onto our door rug that was a ways away. Well I ended up slipping on the metal door frame and believe I tore a muscle in my lower back. Its' throbbing right now!

Once my phone charges, I will upload photos of all the snow! :)

That's how deep it is..

Fact #5

Tonight I will end the pregnancy facts because I am running out of things I remember. Sad right? I had pregnancy brain bad with Brayden.

But....

The one thing I'll never forget, during pregnancy lost 72 lbs and lost 28 lbs after and during my 6 weeks of recovery.

That's right you read that correctly. Instead of gaining Weight I lost it. A lot of weight lost for a pregnant woman but over all I was happy. A lot of it was stress but the main reason is my thyroid became more active when pregnant and it caused me to lose weight.

Do you have any weird pregnancy facts you have gone threw?

Just a FYI

Not sure if I mentioned it already but Ken's mom, dad, sister Crystal, and niece Aliya came down to visit. I've been up a lot earlier than wanted to be . Mainly to go get Girl Scout cookie. Fun? Well of course we have had fun today. But due to plum exhaustion I will continue the pregnancy updates.

Y'all come back ya hear!!

Valentine's Day!!!

What better time than after one in the morning on Valentine's Day make a post about my Valentine.

•The handsome fella with me in this picture will be the one and only Ken, my Valentine. We've only been together for 3 years and 3 months but we have celebrated 4 Valentine's Day together.

In those 4 Valentine's to be quite honest we've never been the mushy gushy send me roses and candy type people. Mainly because our whole relationship I've been a stay at home mom and money has been tight.  The first year he worked and I forgave him, the second year he bought me a rose and gave me one of the kids valentine cards. (Yes he's one of those guys hates spending money on any type of cards.) Last year he took me out to eat because we got a sitter. This year we planned on doing something but out of no where, kind of last minute thing his sister Crystal, niece Aliya, mom Carol, and dad George decided again last minute, Out of a whim, let me do this before I change my mind type thing, decided to come and visit. Which is absolutely great because usually we go up there and it's usually except this year once a year.

But back to Valentine's, we got our income tax return a few weeks ago. We had done stated at Christmas we'd wait until then to get our Christmas and we did. My Christmas was my Miss Me Jeans. However, for Valentine's he spoiled me. No roses which is fine. I won't be at school so why send them.

But here is my list to include my Valentine's presents:
•CHI flat iron
• Camo Purse
•Nike Shoes ( only because bub needed new shoes doe school and they had a bit one get one half off clearance. Got two pairs of Nikes for $64 which is good becaue my original price was $98 and Braydens was $59.)
•my nails done
• New Shirt

Out of all of it I loved them all but my next gift I love the most.

At WalMart tonight, Ken and I bought each other a card. Remember above he hates buying cards. But he did it because he knew it would make me happy.  We turn them around so we couldn't see each others. When we got home I filled mine out shortly after filling it out I gave it to Ken. I thought, OK maybe he is going to wait until tomorrow. Was I wrong? Yep I was wrong, because when I was getting the kids to bed he filled his card to me out and had it on my pillow. This is the reason why I love this man. The simplicity of the words means a lot because that's how he feels.

•my pretty nails set and my card.

• he even wrote more.

I love you Kenneth Robert.

Happy Valentine's Everyone.

Y'all come back ya hear???!!!

Now off to bed, 8 comes early when ya have to get up and go get Girl Scout cookies.

My Decision to Stay...

In cosmetology school that is. Don't worry Ken and I are still happily in love. Go check out how he done Valentine's this year.
Back to Cosmetology:
I had it made in my mind I was quitting, even wrote the termination letter.  Last Friday, Ryleigh woke up sick. I was exhausted from the crazy week of BasketBall Practice on Tuesday, Dance for two hours on Wednesday, Girl Scouts on Thursday and BasketBall practice again. I was extremely overwhelmed with that and some health issues going on. I seriously this past weekend had a nervous breakdown. However,   I went into the school today to get my stuff. Needless to say the man that owns the plans said that once I terminated that I couldn't take my kit that I believe has been paid for, but since it's done in increments of payments through fafsa. I was told that I may end up owing the school money.  I decided to just stay. I will return Tuesday but thought to see if they would just let me take my leave so it doesn't mess with my attendance. Then again decided not to hopefully due to the fact later on I may need a leave. I think in the long wrong that this was a way of God saying Diedra stick it out. Don't give up. Let go and let me take control. That something I need to learn to do more often.

Anyways I know and feel deep down in my heart this is a career I have always wanted to do therefor Im gonna tough it up and finish. Let's hope there is extra hours available to bring these days and hours back up. Mainly because I was determined I was terminating.

All I can say is Lord be by my side and guide me through this schooling. So I can focus on it and my kids are easy to get ready in the mornings.

As the year progresses I will keep you updated.

Y'all come back ya hear!

Any topics you'd like to ready about?

Fact # 4

Pregnancy:
During my pregnancy I changed his name six hundred thousand times. Maybe over exaggerating but it seemed like it. I loved the name Brayden. His whatever you call him wanted him named after him. That was a no go. I wanted to name him Brayden William (William being after my dad). However, my dad has a grandson that is named after him and his other grandpa. My dad only had one brother who passed when Ry was barely two years old. My dad asked if I'd give him the name Charles and I did Charles Brayden Ellis (he has two middle names).

Age 3-4:
this is a tough age to remember even though wasn't long ago. We moved in with Ken the July after he turned 3. We had no cable but had Internet. This is when Brayden really got into Power Rangers, which is again what his third birthday party was. Netflix is all we had at the time being. Therefor somehow my son got really into YO GABBA GABBA. That is what his fourth birthday was.  This was the year Brayden started showing a lot more of his personality.  He's extremely rambunctious and laid back at the same time. He starts showing signs of a certain type of Autism but has never been diagnosed. He showed signs of OCD with his "men-men"*. This is where he really got intrigued with having lots of men-men.

Pretty much over the years Brayden hasn't changed all touch besides growing like a weed. stay tuned for more updates. It's beginning to get hard on pregnancy updates because I had such an easy pregnancy. Come back because I do have a surprise about the pregnancy with Brayden that seems to blow a lot of folks mind.

*men-men: this is a definition that has been made up by none other than my son himself. It simple means action figures. Any kind? It can also mean spider man. Iron man, batman. Or a simple cheap dollar tree toy.

Fact # 3

Pregnancy:
• I craved salads with Hidden Valley Ranch dressing in the beginning. Toward the end of pregnancy craved McDonalds chicken nuggets. The day that I had him all I wanted was a plain double cheeseburger from McDonalds.

Age 2-3:
During this time he got really into toys story. Needless to say for Christmas he got Woody, Jessie, and Buzz. When he was 2 years and 7 months is when Ken came into the picture. The day he met the kids was a day that Ken and brayden grew a special bond. Because he was a positive male role model. His third birthday was a when he started getting into power rangers. :)

Facts # 2

I guess in case you are just jumping on board, I should update you so ya aren't lost. My son turns six in just 9 days therefor I am hoping to take a trip down memory lane and remember facts about my pregnancy. Along with Brayden's first 5 years of life.

I have actually gotten sick again. This time hoping it's not strep throat because my throat had hurt so bad today it felt as if a knife was cutting through it.

Now on down memory lane.

Pregnancy Fact # 2:
Brayden was a planned c-section. My first pregnancy resulted in an emergency c-section. Therefor my OB felt it was best that Brayden be a planned birth. My due was Feb 28th, 2009. He was born Feb 20th, 2009.

1st Year-2years of life:
He was 14 months old when started walking.
• He didn't like the binki but he finally was fully broke from the bottle at 15 months.
• Very rambunctious boy.
• my dad nicknamed him "titty baby"! He was and still is a momma's boy

Stay tuned this week and next to find out more things about my baby boy turning 6.

Sleeping With Your Partner

First off I am on a role tonight. I have had the privledge of having some awesome topics tonight.

Second off reroute your mind out of the gutter. I know what the title sounds like but it isn't what you dirty little minds think.

Now on to the topic of Sleeping With Your Partner
The list of frustrations when sleeping with my partner.

(Come on you fell back into the gutter.)

Frustration # 1.
• There is an absolute reason why we have a queen size bed. Not only because  he had it before we moved in together. But it's a decent size bed. We have our own sides. My side and his side. However after living together since 6 months in to our relationship. You'd think by now he would stay on his side. Don't get me wrong we all love to sprawl out. But every night, geez I might as well go for the couch.

Frustration # 2.
•I love my man with a burning deep down in my soul fiery passion. But if I have to remove his knee out of my ass one more time. He may need knee replacement.

Frustration # 3
• Although to be wintery months we've had awkwardly awesome weather. Except again it's winter so we have some really cold nights.  Yes we share a cover. Yes it's clear to me that it's freezing cold most nights during the winter months.  Just because your like a lot of men I know and strip down to boxer briefs. Doesn't mean on them extremely blistering cold nights where not even the heater is keeping up does it give you the right to burrito roll your ass up with let me say this right OUR cover. I have a tshirt and pants on. Im still cold being clothed, I can only imagine how you must feel. But give me my cover back and get some clothes on boy before ya get pneumonia.

Well that's all of the frustrations of Sleeping With Your Partner.

Y'all come back ya hear. Im sure that three frustrations of Sleeping With Your Partner will get bigger over the months and years.

Goodnight y'all.

My Countdown Begin Facts

Remember my previous blog that for ten days I will let ya know interesting facts about my pregnancy with the soon to be six year old momma's boy.

Pregnancy Facts:
1. My pregnancy with Brayden was nonetheless a breeze. I never had morning sickness but maybe a few times and that was more so toward the end of my pregnancy.  Nothing like My pregnancy with Ryleigh, even tho for the most part with her I had an easy pregnancy until my last three weeks.

Brayden ( 1 week- 1 year):
A little background with Ryleigh's first year to help explain and compare Brayden's.  I had post Partum after Ryleigh that eventually turned into post partum Blues. I was miserable. But I also had a lot of help and support from my parents. Being sick and a new mom, during the day my mother worked and I took care of Ryleigh and then my mom got up with Ryleigh at night. All I wanted to do was sleep.
Now on to Brayden, when I had Brayden. Bless my Mommas  heart she said to me, "Diedra, I am to old for this and you are on your own with this one!!"
Granted for the most part at night I was by myself but I did still have help. Remember with boys they have penis' and when changing you must push them down. I learned that just slapping a diaper on a boy that his private goes every which way leaving more room for him to pee out the side of the diaper.  Brayden, though he paid me back for not getting up with Ryleigh in the middle of the night. This child was up every hour on the hour wanting to eat. It got so bad that when my mom got home from work in the afternoon, she tell me to lay down for an hour or so depending on when she got home. Then around six or so I would get up and feed both kids. Get both kids bathed and ready for bed. The blessing there though was after Ryleigh got bathed. She would come lay down with me so I could get her to sleep. But my mom would get Brayden asleep and watch him until she went to bed. Usually I got to sleep from 8 pm to 10 or 11 pm. Some nights longer because she would lay Brayden in his bassinet and he'd sleep until he got up. Finally after he was 4 weeks old the doctor suggested rice cereal because he was giving everyone a run for their money. ( He still does keep coming back to find out more!) pretty much after we got him good on feelings and sleeping, here came teeth. Good God Almighty he was a horrible teether. He teethed from 4 months until he cut his first tooth at 7 months. Finally after that first tooth and some insight from the doctor the rest of his teeth were a breeze. They came in left and right.

Note for new mothers:  Never forget to move their private downward. That is something I always remind new mothers of boys. But with any sex child, meaning boy or girl, they all teeth. Brayden had a difficult time because I was always taught to use Orgel [spelling wrong I know] but finally after almost 3 months of hardcore teething. I mean long day and nights of pure baby hell because he was in pain. The doctor told me to stop using the topical (on the gum) orgel because it hardens the guns causing it to actually be more painful. Your like me wandering how? Because the tooth is trying to cut and although the orgel numbs the pain for a little while. It hardens the gum making it harder to come thru. Also invest in a vibrating teether. Within 2 days no orgel and the vibrating teether his tooth came thru.

Asking yourself, what did she use for numbing?
1. Teething tablets. Yes, I know they now are suppose to be linked to kids having seizures and what not. But seriously if it was that bad do you think they'd still be on the shelves. We mainly used them at night after his night time bottle to help him fall asleep.
2. On very rough nights where nothing was helping. Go way back in the day where orgel and teething tablets were unheard of. Back in the day mothers and fathers put whiskey on their finger tip and rub the gums. I promise you won't get your child drunk.

3. Of course Tylenol or Ibuprofen.

Ending the first year of life:

Overall Brayden first year wasn't to bad. He crawled at eight months, sat up at six months by himself, he wasn't a binky baby. He liked his bottle tho. Come back later to see how long it took to break him from the bottle.

Probably wandering......

Most kids walk by age one. How old was Brayden when he walked?

Come back tomorrow to find out. :)

Goodnight my loves.
