Sibling Rivalry

Sibling rivalry, what's your definition of that one guys?

I think my thoughts on sibling rivalry is like most others. It's where you have two or more children who get along only a handful of times because the other times they are fighting. I mean some of my kids fights get down right dirty. We are talking some wrestling smack downs up in this house. Well maybe not blood and broken bones but my kids are like anyone else's kids they get along then they don't get along.

These photos that I made into my own little collage using PICCOLLAGE was from a few years back. But these two pictures show the love and their personalities toward one another.  (I have an IPhone 5c and I downloaded the app PICCOLLAGE shortly after getting my phone two years ago. I have tried other collage apps but I always come back to PICCOLLAGE. It's free to download and use for the most part. There are like other apps in app purchases of you chose to purchase.  But I believe I had the app on my android as well. Awesome app. Try it out guys.

Anyways back to sibling rivalry, I came across a blog post talking about their relationship with her brother who was years older. The girl is actually a friend of mine on Facebook an instagram. And if she ever comes by this post and give me permission I will include her blog. I don't like giving out people's information without permission. I know her sister in law. But Boy oh boy can I relate to that, I haven't ever really talked a lot about my sibling which by the way is a girl. So thought I'd start. I can relate to my friends post about sibling rivalry from having a sibling a lot older because well my sister is eight years older than me. Growing up we didn't have the best relationship, don't really think we had one at all. Not because we didn't love each other but growing up as a child with a little sister that is still into going outside and playing and you can drive at this point in life, y'all really only have two things in common (your both female and share the same parents). I am the Baby, she is the first born, we both share a special place in our parents heart. But I was the annoying little sister that wouldn't leave my big sister alone. But we never really had any rivalry. Here's why, my sister like stated before is eight years older. My sister got pregnant at a young age, she was 16, and shortly after having my niece {who by the way just turned 22 on July 20th} got married. So pretty much from the time I was nine years old, I was the only child to live at home.

Now fast forwarding a few year well technically a lot of years. My sister and I didn't start getting close until I was 19 and she was 27. The reason being because up until then I was a high schooler. She was a grown woman, two kids, husband and a home.

The turnaround point in are relationship was because at 19 years old, Jan of 2005, I found out I was pregnant and hid my pregnancy until June 2005.  We had stuff to talk about then, we had adult things, mommy things, even to this day tho we are close but we don't get into detail about our sex lives like most sisters do.

But now we do have sibling rivalry, we are night and day. We bicker and fight but then everything is alright. She's my backbone. She's one of my best friends. I tell her things I don't just tell anyone. She's my protector. I am hers. When we can be.

Another emotion we share is sadness. When she's sad, I am. When she's hurt so am I. Today we felt that sadness together. Last night we found out a family friends dad wasn't doing good. For personal reason I won't go into detail as to whom. But this morning she called me crying because our friends dad had passed so suddenly. She heard our family friend break down in tears and emotional sadness and it broke her down too.

So sibling rivalry, have you ever experienced at a different time in life besides when your younger?

Leave a comment let me know.

Now it's this MOMMAS bed time.
Y'all come back ya hear!

Love always sincerely,

Where have I been?

To be honest I haven't been anywhere but have been going through a lot. I have so much going on that deep down it stole my motivation, my drive, my love for anything.

Tuesday July 12th, 2016 I finally broke. I had enough. I have always struggled with depression. Usually it's seasonal depression. Meaning during some seasons I get depressed. Honestly it is usually just winter time. But in the last few weeks it has been summer. If it isn't the heat keeping you cooped up to think about all your stress and worries it's mosquitos carrying you away. Tuesday I finally broke. I cried more than I have in years. But it was good for me to do so. I needed it.  I cried because I was tired of fighting all the stress. Tired of seeing the mountainous piles of clothing in my house that somewhere down the line I let go.  I also am tired of hurting. I have issues with my back after my pregnancy with Brayden. He damaged my sciatic nerve. Well this last week due to added stress and more stress added learning I lost my insurance coverage. I had to transfer my medicine to somewhere cheaper. I do take tramadol. It helps with the pain to be able to walk. But due to transferring wasn't able to get it filled until today.  And even though it helps with the physical pain. I do struggle with stress emotionally.  I mean by that is, Ken works I budget and pay the bills. Something k use to be great at. To some where down the line I let get away from me. Although we are trying to catch up. It seems there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

But it's 11:33 pm, I'm tired and ready for bed. I'm gonna smoke one last cig to make sure Ry or Bray doesn't come wake me up. Because Lord knows it seems the minute I am passed out asleep here comes one if not both,

Night.

Come back ya hear.

*remember if you know someone battling with depression and although it's a daily battle remember their bad days are horrible. Sometimes leaving them to believe that they are better off dead.  Suicide is probably one of the number one causes of deaths in people with depression whose bad days seemed to never end. Whether it be one "bad" day or many. Depression is a horrible disease and in most cases is treatable. And in a lot of cases all someone needed was someone to talk to. To make them believe that their bad day is just that a bad day. *

Pokemon Go

Yes. I gave into the "dark" side.  I have read all the over dramatic hype of the game. People falling off of cliffs, walking into oncoming traffic, and robberies. Oh as well as all the tracking devicing it does.

Here is my view point on it.
1. Most of the ones getting hurt in my opinion are using the game as a crutch for their stupidity.  Most of them getting hurt are grown folks that know better.  The game itself gets kids active and moving around and having fun. Along with grown adults. But if you seriously walk into on coming traffic because you found a picachu. No offense you should be hit. Not saying die or anything but if you don't have common sense then Lord be with you through this game. As well as falling off a cliff. I'm sorry sounds more like stupidity kicked in once again and as a grown adult wasn't paying attention.

2.  A criminal is gonna commit a crime no matter what games are out. I mean seriously if you think about it if they were "smart" which robbing someone blind isn't smart by no means. But usually robbers want in and out (so the tv shows show) why on earth would they stop for a minute to catch a Pokemon character.

3. Tracking. Most people who own a smart phone know that a smart phone is nothing but a hand held compute that you can text and make calls on. They freeze like a computer does and does weird crap like computers do. But people are coming up with these crazy things on how it's giving people rights to track you as well as hack you. Well news flash in 2016 you can be on your home private computer and someone over in Japan can be watching you through the webcam. (That's why you should put duck tape over it. And remove it when you use it.) so no matter what you can be tracked doing anything in this day and time. ( turn your location access off after playing the game.)

4. Must add one more thing. If you are an adult that knows better and you are that bad into the game that you want to catch a trespassing charge to catch picachu. By all means spend you a night in jail.  Now if you are an adult with common sense teach your children that do know right from wrong but don't quite understand the legal system that this game can actually teach responsibility. If you see a character in a spot that has a huge sign that says NO TRESPASSING be responsible enough to find a different one.

Now my reasoning of downloading the game is my seven year old is a huge Pokemon fan. Has a picachu and evie plushy, has cards out the wazoo, and even has cups. (Oh and he is also starting the second grade with a Pokemon back pack.) Needless to say until we ran out of poke balls, was the highlight of his day.  As well as this past weekend him and his sister have had friends over and have swam all weekend. Leaving me with two semi blistered babies. But don't worry we did keep reapplying sunscreen so it isn't as bad.

This game will be fun with my kids until they get bored with it. As well as allowing them to be responsible and smart judgement.  Guess what we were walking our block that crosses a busy intersection. You won't believe it but I made my kids stop and look for traffic BOTH times we crossed it.

Picture below are my two Pokemon hunters.

*i knew my son had two mismatching flip flops (he usually does) as well as 9chances out of ten he's got two of the same feet.*
