Cool Mom Alert

That's right...I'm the coolest mom on the block.

Not being over zealous or anything but hey when your kids walk up to you and say your the best momma ever. You might ask yourself why. I have been dead set on not getting a pool (a big one) all summer. Well things happen and we came into some extra money and we got a big pool.  But who can beat a $300 pool getting for almost $120 cheaper.  I'm proud of ourselfs tho. We bought this pool without the financial help from my parents.

However on serious note, Ken has gotten his foot in the door of a huge company. One that pays half more than what he's making now. Praying to the good Lord above he gets it. This will financially set our family. Hopefully after that you will be hearing wedding bells. That's right we have talked about getting married. (More on that when the time comes.)

Well today has been an awesomely exhausting day. Between investing in a pool, company came over Mic-mic as my kids call her, and playing/watching kids play Mario until 10:30 pm this momma aka cool mom is exhausted.
I'm trying my best to post more frequently.

I will give you all a sneak peek of an upcoming blog post. It will be and interview type blog. I have had a lot of questions on certain topic that I'd like to answer.

Well adios for tonight.

Recipie Alert

Unfortunately I wasn't able to actually get a picture of the finished product, although I meant to. My mother decided to call at that exact moment and by time I got off the phone with her. I had already passed out plates.

Tonight though we decided to try something new. Ken and my sister is all for it but I am the type that is picky. I did try the recipe and actually liked it. My friend Lauren actually posted a picture of her finished products and everyone was wanting the recipe including myself.

Drum Roll Please......

The recipe is loaded baked potato and chicken casserole. The picture I am attaching is the recipe.

ENJOY!!!!!

Heartbreak at Eight.

I thought I still had a few years before id have to deal with boyfriend and friendship heartbreak.  Yes, they both my children have dealt with heartbreak because of their biological dads not being in the picture. Ryleigh more so than Brayden. Mainly because Brayden was two and half years old when Ken aka Ken Daddy came in the picture. Therefore Ken is all he's known as Daddy. Although in a weird logic he knows he has a biological dad. (Because I have told my kids the truth ). Looking back on some previous post you can kind of put two and two together on my children's well they donated sperm.

Back to heartbreak at eight. My daughter has went through a lot of heartbreak to be only eight  years old.  Her "sperm donor" walked completely out on her at the age of two. From the day of birth (which he was not present for) until the age of two he had seen her a grand total of nine times. That's right for all of those who are ready NINE times in two years. Sad I could count that on two hands.  As my daughter got older, in school, and that's when really stuff hit the fan when we moved in with Ken. We lived with my parents for almost 7 years before moving in with Ken. I took her away from the only home and man she knew as a dad growing up. Which is my dad her Papa.  However, this past week my daughter experienced a friendship heartache.

Back last year my daughter became friends with the new neighbor kids that moved in down the road.  Well they moved come winter here in town. Come March, they moved into the previous trailer they lived in.  From March until last Wednesday they had been at my house just about everyday depending on the weather.  Over the Fourth of July weekend some extreme drama happened that then later involved their landlord harassing them.  I wanted to stay out of it for the sake of the kids. I also know the landlord but I must say I seen first hand from that weekend up until they moved they were being harassed. To the point that the cop of our town told them  that it would be best for them to move out of that trailer because the landlord wouldn't stop. Deep down the the landlord didn't realize how much hurt he caused and I'm sure if he did he would not care. There is two little girls on our block that lost their best friend. One of the girls didn't get to say goodbye or even knew it had happened because until two days after they left. Due to being gone to girl scout camp.  Then my daughter was the other little girl.  Even though my daughter has felt heartache. I have never heard her say, "Mom you just don't understand!"  My heart shattered to look over at my daughter and tears rolling done her face but her remain quiet. Because she felt as if I  was tired of hearing about it and I didnt understand. Which honestly she was right on one part. I didn't understand. I had never lost a best friend growing up. My best friend lived eight miles from me. I seen her everyday at school and on weekends we swapped houses. We did give the little girl and boy our address in which this devasted all of us. I hope to keep in touch. Even if it is years down the road that we run into them. I myself and my kids included had never seen such genuine and loving kids.  However the thought of my daughter having to face this heartache. Hell I felt as if I would have a few more years before she goes threw the extreme heartache of boys and losing a friend. Did I ever lie to myself? Because she is only eight.

How did we cope with Ry being broken hearted?

For two days Ken and I just showered her with love. Yes, she was still made to do her chores (mainly to keep her busy) and just enjoy time by herself. Because as stated above everyday she has had someone repeatedly over.  Finally Friday her first best friend, whom is my best friends daughter, came over. But it wasn't until she got here that Ry found out she was staying the night. Also, her other best friend Deanna was home from girl scouts and as soon as she got home came over. So these three girls had a ball. Then Deanna went home. The girls, Whitneys twins, Ken, Brayden, Mark, and I all just enjoyed each others company.

This was  the end result to two red heads having way to much fun.  My daughter is the one who looks like she is burried under the blankie.
This handsome fella ended his night with momma and ken daddy.

Sparkles Galore

The Fourth of July festivities have come to an end. As I mumble Thank The Lord. I'm actually excited that most holidays last for a day in some cases a week. However this holiday in particular I'm happy to not hear another bottle rocket for a year.
This weekend has also thrown me off because Ken was off for 3 days. Friday, which was the fourth we ended up going to the parents for a while to eat. Then home and the neighbors came over and watched the fireworks. Ended the night with a bang. (No pun intended.) Then Saturday fireworks again. All day bottle rockets and that night my sister invited us over for burgers, fries, and more fireworks.

So pretty much our three day weekend turned out awesome. But just like Christmas  I'm glad it comes once a year.

I do apologize for those who read my blog. I am a busy mother of two. This summer seems to be going by so fast and now we are in the swing of getting things read for school. I mean they just started putting the stuff out and we have until Aug 8th to get it all. I'm also wanting to revamp up my blog. So new things to come to those that are patient and like to read my blog.
