Half A Day of The First Day

That's right!!! You didn't read that wrong. How lucky were my kids to get a half a day off on their first day back? Seriously no joke! We as parents have the right to sign up for alert texting. I just so happen forgot to do so after I had my number change due to crazy person. Never thought much about it and kind of forgot due to the fact at the time I had my number changed we were out of the snowy months. Therefor knew they wouldn't be calling school off anytime before summer because really the school had no more days to miss.  Summer comes and goes ( promise hoping to get the computer out from hiding tomorrow to update you all on why I have been M.I.A pretty much all summer.) and here is the first day of school (pictures down below).

[Not sure why Brayden looks constipated in the picture by himself. Ryleigh was looking at the TV as if mom I don't have time for the photos. The bottom left hand picture was so cute but my favorite is the top right corner. ] That picture is my favorite as follows (Copy and Paste from Instagram)....As the first day of school is winding down and it's close to this momma's bed time. I must say out of the few pictures I captured today. This one is my favorite. When I took them to the cafeteria before leaving I said, "Bub I want one more picture of you and sissy." This picture is what I captured. The true love he has for his sister. Hard to believe my babies are in 1st and 4th grade.

Back to them getting out half a day. My lovely boyfriend/fiancĂ© (not official but our phones list him as my husband/me as his wife) always calls me everyday at 11:05 in his lunch break. He said, "Are ya waiting on the kids?" Replying in a smart as manor, um no honey they get out at 3:00 pm and I know I sit 30 minutes prior. He said, "Did ya not get the text about the school dismissing at 11:50?" Replying this time as if I was dumbfounded because I was stating um no honey I haven't and I bet it's because I never register my new number. So hung up on him and called sure enough. They were fixing to dismiss. Why? Because the high school was having electrical problems and the district is a whole therefor they let everyone out. Mainly because the highschool itself doesn't have any windows.  None of the kids or staff was comfortable. As a parent I know I would want my kid out of the school. The other thing is now we must wait until morning to find out if they are out tomorrow. I was first informed by the secretary that a transformer blew. Then on FB teachers and other parents said school in session due to the electric was fixed to only find out that supposedly the electric was still off and it was wiring gone bad and it may take all night and all day tomorrow to fix.

However due to the unknown which I hate. This mommy is heading to bed to get some sleep before my 615 am alarm goes off.

Nighty Night
